Cam Thomas is modern day Iverson, if Iverson didn't pass, generate steals, and ran a losing team.

I see Joel as a work in progress. He is only getting better as each game goes on. He basically missed all of last season had surgery again and now is just working himself back into shape. His offense and defense will all come back to an acceptable level. I doubt he will ever be MVP Joel again but for this team he does not have to be. But I swear every time he hit the floor against the Hornets I wondered is he going to be able to get back up! Crazy right? It's gonna be an anxious year of basketball.

I think he’s still testing how his legs respond, every time he falls or finishes a game, he’s gauging whether he can push it to another level. Eventually, he’ll learn his body’s limits, figuring out the right “temperature” to play at and how much he can shift into another gear when it matters most in late game situations.

I hope this could turn into a blessing in disguise where this situation allows him to be more advanced in pacing himself which would allow him to be more durable and have another gear when the pressure is at its highest

Yep the time for reckless abandonment on the basketball court for Joel has passed. Another issue that I think about, because I am a 76ers fan and I just can't enjoy a good time. Is how Joel will handle not being the team leader/ the focal point. If I recall correctly and I may not be correct. When Maxey got his extension, Joel basically said he (Maxey) was the future...is that future now? And can Joel handle being second in command to Maxey, especially when Joel become "healthy" again?

Pacers waived James Wiseman. Minimum flyer to see if he can run the floor, defend, and rebound with Maxey/VJ? They have a roster spot open. He sucks, just cut him.

Heat have now nuked two teams, one of which we barely beat (Charlotte). Just thought it was worth noting.

I’ve noticed that teams investing heavily in wings are struggling, while those built around strong guards are thriving. The game always moves in cycles.

Yeah, and we’re already seeing a lot of three guard lineups. I think four-guard units will eventually become more common, especially since many of these guards are 6’4”–6’5” and play bigger thanks to their wingspan, width(strong base) and/or athleticism.

Low IQ. Pass. Other similar guys available are Mo Bamba and Christian Wood.

On a related note, Hassan Whiteside signed with Shanghai Sharks yesterday.

Yeah, but Bona is not exactly a brain surgeon, either.

Bona actually has solid basketball IQ, he’s just undersized, which forces him to rely on his leaping ability more often to compensate for it.

Off topic. One interesting detail that tends to get overlooked, we were really high on Yves Missi in that draft. But since the Pelicans took him, we ended up with Bona instead. Honestly, there isn’t much of a gap between the two.
