Kon Knueppel. Everything we’d thought he’d be.

I've long defended SGA and still will in a "hate the game, not the player" kind of way, but even I gotta admit that the free throw grifting is getting ridiculous. Like, dude is taking nearly 25 shots a game and only 4 of those are within 3-feet of the basket. Just stop giving guys that don't even drive to the rim these kind of whistles. It's pathetic and it's making the game unwatchable.

On a lot of these calls, the defender takes the contact to the chest and gets whistled when the player shoots. The message seems to be that you can play defense as long as the person you're guarding isn't going to shoot.

It is weird to spend the week coaching youth ball, watch your kids play JV and varsity, catch an occasional badger game, and then watch a NBA game. Officiating is like walking through three different museums of art (modern, classic, and folk) and then trying to find the commonalities.

With the noted caveats that its early and using the transitive property has limited value. That said, the fact that Cleveland is running Detroit off the court the night after the Bucks played them down to the wire and very well might've won if Evan Mobley didn't have by far the best FT shooting night of his career makes me feel better.

It seems like the best version of Philly is going to be to play small and play fast with Maxey and Edgecombe leading the way and even though he hasn't played yet this season I'd add Jared McCain to this as well. But then you have Embiid and PG who cannot play that way. And while we know that the Maxey-Edgecombe version of the team will eventually win out, trying to make all of this work this season will be an interesting thing to watch.

Imagine being the Hornets and Flagg, Harper and Edgecome go right before you and you end up with Dairy Bird or Dunleavy Jr 2.0 at number 4.

My remark was complimentary of Kon. He’s going to be fantastic. He’s shooting like 55% from three.

I know, but I would be bummed. The other guys are probably generational.

Rough night for Flagg
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Maxey and VJ are still young. Put Embiid on Ice and have him come in for the playoffs and take turns playing fast and slow. If it doesn't work, trade him in the off-season.

Still annoyed as hell they even lucked into that pick

This article just blew my mind. It is like it was written in a world where you don't need an Achilles to play basketball. (Pacers/Celtices combined 1-6)

I think it took guts for them to take Kon over Ace Bailey. They should be happy.

Let’s watch it play out. If I’m a Dallas fan or even a Spurs fan I’m wondering about Edgecombe at the moment.
