2026 General Draft Discussion
You guys know you can start your own threads right? You don't need a mod to do it.
Anyway here is the 2026 draft thread.

Re: 2026 General Draft Discussion
Haven't even played a regular season game and there's already a draft thread? This a record?
Here's a kid I like. Probably won't make top five but tempering my expectations after this year's robbery.

Anything that makes college hoops more interesting I'm okay with, but I could see purists having a problem with this. I don't know enough about the specifics of NIL, but seems like once you're getting paid to play what was previously "amateur" basketball, allowing minor league washouts that are otherwise eligible doesn't seem so different to me than allowing international student athletes that were part of a club system. Interesting development that, like a lot of this, seems like it would favor the wealthier schools. Not sure what a solution could be, college hoops salary cap?

Getting AJ would be as big as getting flagg. Maybe bigger.JustBuzzin wrote:fatlever wrote:we need boozer

Re: 2026 General Draft Discussion
I do think preseason quaitance is a guy who might be around when we pick. If he produces this year he should be the guy. He was younger then flagg and will be and wont be til after the 26 draft as a sophmore. Hopefully he recovers well from the acl tear and gets back on the floor as soon as possible. Seeing what he can do at Kentucky will be a big litmus test for him.JustBuzzin wrote:fatlever wrote:we need boozer

He had 30 in the exhibition game vs Nebraska a few days ago. He looks legit.

Any of the top 3 would be amazing, franchise changing players.
Which is exactly why we’ll select Normie WhiteMan or Français LaMysteryBox at 7th overall.

He can do it all on the court. He's what everyone thought Ace Bailey was going to be but better.JustBuzzin wrote:GiggitySmalls wrote:Getting AJ would be as big as getting flagg. Maybe bigger.JustBuzzin wrote:Nah we need AJ

My goodness this draft class is going to be loaded
Cam Boozer 24pts/23/reb/6assist in the exhibition vs Tennessee.

The top 3 of peterson/boozer/dybansta are all number 1 picks in most drafts.JustBuzzin wrote:My goodness this draft class is going to be loaded

Re: 2026 General Draft Discussion
Hes probably going to have a Zion'eque freshman season. Just like Zion, I think his college production will be a tad misleading because of how particularly well suited both their games are to crushing the NCAA game, but just like Zion hes also still an insane NBA prospect (just not GOAT level like their NCAA stats would indicate).
I'm still doubtful any of the players in this class are as good as Flagg. After seeing what he did last year as a 17/18 year old, imagine how insane Flagg would look if he didn't reclassify and was playing in the NCAA this season. Thats how the prospects from this class should be compared to Flagg and not as much by just comparing their freshman NCAA stats. Having said that, the top three in this class do all seem like pretty insane prospects that would go #1 in a lot of drafts.

This class could be go down as one of the best since LeBron/Melo/Wade/Bosh.

Na, next big thing for France will be Nathan Soliman. We might have couple first rounders from them but mostly (good) role players except Yimga Monkouri who should be a borderline lottery pick i think. Itwill depend on his agressivity and leadership, which he had when he was younger but it tends to disappear a bit (also needs to become consistent from the perimeter and get a solid midrange, but he's probably one of the best forward in the making).
But Soliman at the very least he's a clear #2 behind Victor, and he will probably challenge him as best french player (that says it all).
About next draft, as much as i like Boozer (and hate is dad), the clear choice would be Peterson.

Be prepared to watch the Celtics do a one season tank and end up with a top three pick.

Re: 2026 General Draft Discussion
Keita and Veesaar might be good options if we get a later pick for the center spot. They are both big bigs who have different roles and contrast with Kalk/Moussa.
