Game 3. Portland at Los Angeles Sunday 10/26

Post#1 » by PeteyPablo » Sun Oct 26, 2025 7:04 pm

I took this from ESPN. Clippers are 10th place as of now in the Western Conference.

Inglewood, California; Sunday, 9 p.m. EDT

BOTTOM LINE: Western Conference foes Los Angeles and Portland will play on Sunday.

Los Angeles finished 50-32 overall and 29-23 in Western Conference games last season. The Clippers allowed opponents to score 108.2 points per game and shoot 46.1% from the field last season.

Portland finished 36-46 overall and 19-33 in Western Conference play during the 2024-25 season. The Trail Blazers gave up 113.9 points per game while committing 19.0 fouls last season.

Trails got some legit talent up and down the roster, and are playing with a nothing to lose approach I imagine (between 2nd half last season and the Chauncey stuff this week).. but this is a game that Clips are supposed to win. Keep building momentum and gelling.

It’s was almost automatic for the Clippers to start off each game slow and lethargic all of last year .

Then would turn it up in the second half.

Not sure if they can turn it up against young teams this year.

Looking forward to a competitive game and a win.

Nice win, regrouped with a good 3rd quarter and managed to hang on against a competitive Blazers.

Some sloppy play in the 4th and overall with 22 turnovers, but the team shot well at 55% while keeping the Blazers at 37%.

As expected, John Collins is such a nice piece for this team.

Next up are the Warriors, good test and would be nice to get 3 in a row.

Great game by the Clippers. Kawhi looks fluid and healthy. Harden looks fluid and healthy. Brodan looks out of sync but hoping he can find his groove.
John Collins has been great with his all around activity. What happened with Beal - why is he out ?

Not sure if Blazers are bad or good right now. But a win is a win.

Bogdan is toasted. It was last year apart from couple weeks of action. Then was BAD in the playoff. İnjured in the eurobasket. The dude is old but in this team he looks older than cp3&brook which says a lot.

Give Cam every minute that supposed to going to Bogdan.

Not sure why Collins is not our starting 4. He has played well so far.

He’s just what we needed. As long as he’s getting good minutes I guess it doesn’t matter if he starts. For a short stretch he was the only Clipper playing well.
Team is still looking for it’s identity this season.

They is what they is. Talking about a deal Ballmer [NOT Doc or L-Frank] made 6 years ago that the whole basketball world was in favor of at the time. Hey, he/we went all-in and failed. We still had winning seasons and will have a clean sal cap slate in a couple years.

As for THIS year, we can beat anybody on any night and that's as much as we could hope for as we wind down the 213 era. Try to enjoy it.

Ty gives everyone a clean slate every year, which is wise. Perhaps you were playing hurt last year, [Bogie was] or perhaps this is the year you're finally washed. And as predicted, DJJ will continue to start at least for now, for continuity's sake. Hey, he's shooting 81%/67%!

Because Beal might have been promised a starting spot.

But yep, this team would be so much better if Collins starts at the 4 and Beal comes off the bench as a scoring spark.

I would love to see this. And I don't think Beal is going to help this team at all.
