NBA Believes 'More That Can Be Done To Protect Integrity' Of Game

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Oct 27, 2025 4:15 pm

The NBA has informed all 30 teams that the league office has initiated a process of reviewing policies regarding injury reporting, training and education of all personnel. They will also enhance internal and external programs to identify the betting activity of concern.

The memo comes a few days after Terry Rozier, Chauncey Billups and Damon Jones were arrested as part of a federal investigation into illegal gambling activity.

"While the unusual betting on Terry Rozier's "unders" in the March 2023 game was detected in real time because the bets were placed legally, we believe there is more that can be done from a legal/regulatory perspective to protect the integrity of the NBA and our affiliated leagues," wrote the NBA in the memo. "In particular, proposition bets on individual player performance involve heightened integrity concerns and require additional scrutiny."

Didn't have these problems when betting was legal.

Betting reduces the rizz of the NBA and reduces the rizz of society. It's a sign of moral degeneration that something that could jeopardize the integrity of the league -- money -- was sanctioned in the first place. What's next, the platforming of OnlyFans harlots? Tell us, Adam Silver!

Eliminate prop bets altogether.

This isn't hard.

But then Draft Kings and FanDuel and all the books would lose a ton of business, and suddenly the NBA cap would drop.

You can have easily been more transparent and showed more accountability with officials. Your refusal to make them full-time is a joke. Silver was in on the scam.

You still refuse to address officiating and or the lack transparency and responsibility. You're only concerned with elements tied to betting like injuries

If they don’t remove Silver this will get worse and worse. He is a part of the problem and now talking out both sides … he must go.

1. The NBA accepts money from China and Saudia Aribia where in SA they behead ppl for witch craft being gay is outlawed they chopped up a US journalists.. 2. The US at the same time is actively providing weapons and support to a genocide.. So there is not really any moral ground left.. OF harlots hardly compare to genocide and chopping up journalists I mean that's the least of the problems..

I agree with you. I was thinking earlier this week about Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf and how few NBA players would gladly give up tens of millions -- perhaps hundreds of millions -- to make a similar stand. I think the answer is none would, since none have, lol.

The NBA I believe is also directly complicit in the genocidal actions. There's terrible figures like Miriam Adelson, of course. I'm curious and afraid about how far the rot extends.

The money given to us and the accompanying illusion of wealth are fetters upon our soul, shackles upon our moral rizz.

fix the draft and give everyone the same chances, and then all laugh at how bad Charlotte has been for an expansion team

Such a weak, mealy mouthed response from Silver. More can be done, just a cliche
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.
