Pray it’s not torn.

This guy just can't stay healthy smh

You kind of forget his talent because he's rarely on the court. Not sure where to go from here.

Only positive I can think of is Kon gets a bigger role.

He played 74 games his rookie year and is likely out a month now. I think it is premature to say he's rarely on the court after one long-term injury last season.

Well, Kon and Sexton can both start now if they want them to. I might give Liam a shot though.

Brandon must have basically no muscles in his shoulders if a little slip like that causes a dislocation.

He is going for a second opinion which sounds like it maybe the worse type of sublux injury. Could be done for the year (or most of it) already. Geez.

I guess we are even more likely to be destined for the lottery again but at least we can develop Sion, Liam and Kon fully.

I am glad that the newest guys are not so skinny and weak looking at least, Miller needs to pump it up.

That's a very good point.

Either way this just really blows. You're not getting a second opinion if this is the 3 week variety of injury.

I'm just assuming he's out for the year or most of it at this point.

Should trade him before his value is zero.

Wonder if him shooting left handed screwed up that shoulder somehow.

Speculation here and maybe I'm making this up bc I didn't see it in his wiki or brief googles, but wasn't baseball Brandon's other sport? If so, maybe the tendon/ligament damage is from overuse and not his frame? Not that strength training wouldn't be beneficial, but the bad luck/freak nature of this I think points to something else. Imbalance from overcompensating from the wrist injury?

Not that it really matters, this sucks, just rather curious based on the contact, his initial reactions and the diagnosis.

if you are getting a second opinion its because the first was awful, expect this dude to be out for the year in the most Hornet way possible

getting a second opinion doesnt mean anything other than the first answer was awful and you want to find someone that will give you a more positive outlook. normally to avoid surgery

The kid is more injury prone than LaMelo I fear

What a catastrophic outcome only 2 games into the season.

It seems unbelievable to me, based on the video footage, that this would be a season ending injury. Like it doesn't seem possible unbelievable.

His tendons must be like stretched out rubber bands.

A season ending injury for reaching your arm out is wild. Hoping for the best but my lord.

Tend to agree with this. I don't see this as a bad look for the Hornets, just as Brandon desperately hoping for a diagnosis and treatment protocol that is different.

I mean we should be used to either the worst outcome or having it drawn out for a full season making us think he's coming back soon until it's April. But watching how the injury happened and then seeing him on the sidelines without a sling in Washington, shoving LaMelo with both arms in the interview hyped up after the W and then reading how it was a partial dislocation makes me feel like it won't be terrible.
