I don't care about Lin because he was a one hit wonder but Anthony never won in his career despite having solid ass teammates as 2nd options like Billups, Iverson and Amare.

Everything is all about how nobody in 15 years did anything for Melo but never about what Melo did for the team.

The attempted whitewashing (or blue and orange washing) or Melo's career recently is just funny to me.

Pretty soon we'll start forgiving Marbury for being a meathead here too.

You can still like players and accept their faults. Both of these guys had major faults.

Melo had Iverson, Billups, and STAT at the tail end of their careers.

With Iverson in the playoffs, he faced the '07 Spurs who won the champions, and '08 Lakers who made the Finals. I give Melo a pass on both in part because he lost to Duncan and Kobe. I will say Melo could have at least made them a competitive 6 or 7 games series, so he failed in that regard.

2010 against the Jazz, that was probably the worst series for Melo's legacy. Nuggets won game 1 and then drop the next 3 to the Jazz

2011, Melo wasnt gonna do anything without Billups, as well as A'mare destroying his back.

2012, Melo DEFINITELY wasnt gonna do anything with fire extinguisher glass punching STAT, without Linsanity, and without Shump. Winning one game on the Heat was a miracle.

Marbury did what he could. His ankles gave out on him after two seasons in NY. 9 years of all-star level play, then two years of performing at "starter" level until he was cooked. I think it was beyond the mental issues with him. His ankles couldn't hold up to where they needed to be for him to remain in the NBA.

Accountability is a great trait to have as a person.

Blaming everyone around you for 15 years without taking accountability for yourself is just not it for me, sorry.
