His shots not falling? He'll lose you games, or at best, just be invisible on the court... when that shot does fall and he's on a heater, he'll light it up and almost singlehandedly win games.

Simons actually didn’t play well tonight but all of a sudden he got hot and made shot after shot. Simons did nothing different, just tonight the ball went in the basket. We’ll take it

I still think that Boucher should Start with Queta.
Simons should Always be paired with one of Pritchard/White.

Garza is more of a threat, when he makes those 3's.
Scheierman & Walsh could use some time in Maine.

Bring up the Two-Ways, after they get through their G League Preseason.
Minott and González are our Energy players.

Celtics Roster, 2025-26:
Starters: Pritchard - White - Brown - Boucher - Queta
Rotation: Simons - Gonzalez - Hauser - Minott - Garza
Reserves: Scheierman - Walsh - Tillman

Two-Ways: Shulga - Harper - Amari

I think people have attributed things to him because of prejudging him (I know not you because you have watched him in the past). He has not been bad on defense this season, even though he, of course, has poor moments. If he finds his shot consistently, people will see he hasn’t been as bad as they think. He needs to find a way to combine D and solid offense.

If people wonder why Joe keeps playing him through mistakes and barely rebounding, it’s because his D hasn’t lived up to the pre-Celtics “hype.”

The pessimist in me says that we finally managed to find and beat a team that somehow had less size than we did.

The optimist in me says that the newbies looked like they found a bit of much needed chemistry tonight.

Next three games are going to be rooooouuugh and will say a lot about the true trajectory of this squad.

IDK if anyone noticed, but they paired Simons with either Pritchard or White, in tandem.

If Walsh goes to Maine, YIKES. Season 3, with a chance to play and you’re in Maine again? Sounds like JD, and that means little time left on the team.

Nice win.

Really fun 4th quarter. It was still close in the 4th, then we went on a great run.

VC to Simons. He played great. Not only the 25 points, but also 6 rebounds and solid defense. Minott with a close second.

Minott, in his 1st NBA start, had 15 points and 9 rebounds. He brought good energy and defense. The 9 rebounds were much needed.

Pritchard with another strong game, with 18 points and 8 rebounds.

Queta will a big bounce back game. I said he wasn't fighting for rebounds vs the Pistons. This game, he was awesome on the boards. 11 rebounds in only 22 minutes, 6 were offensive rebounds. He also had 4 blocks and was changing shots in the paint.

Also a big game for Garza. 16 points in only 19 minutes, to go along with 6 rebounds. He made 3 3 pointers.

Baylor had a low key good game, with 3 points and 6 rebounds. He played under control.

Good coaching job by Joe.

Doesn't matter.

For me, I just want Simons to do well so that Brad can trade him without having to attach a draft pick/s.

Can't take away much from this win if we're honest.

Queta also played well.
Had 11 rebounds to go along with 4 blocks and 6 points.

Simons really cooked in the 4th qtr. when JB went out with foul trouble.

Mynot gave the Cs the needed stability on a lot of the small things.

I strongly disagree! It means we won't go winless for the season.

I wasn't saying it matters. Just this is what to expect out of whatever time he's with the Celtics. Not that I saw others here expecting more, I was just giving an honest opinion of what kind of player he would be.

If the Cs won by 1 point or 2 points then that's something.

But the Cs blew out a team missing their 2 best players.
So the Cs just did what they were supposed to against a short-handed team.

Simons can shoot, but he's more of a 2nd Ballhandler.

Regardless of who he was on the floor with, Simons was usually the one bringing the ball up the floor..that's been the case most of the time during these first 4 games when Simons has been on the floor.

He can play the 1 or the 2.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

We had a pretty tough starting schedule. Our first semi-break is Pels resting guys. 4 games in 6 nights, the teams aren’t bad this season (so far). We still have juggernauts to face soon. The NBA is messy!

Joe played 11 players when the game was still anybody's ball game.

I don't think Joe is the same as Thibodeau, when it comes to player rotation, like some suggested the previous seasons.

Baylor Scheierman with 6 rebounds (all defensive) in 14 minutes deserves some love.

Honestly, I could easily see the Celtics 8-8 after 16 games which would put them on a pace that most expected.

I picked Minott and Simons. Queta was great and I thought Hauser played a great game defensively, he's been putting in the work. We'd be straight f**ked without Queta, our front court is shallow.
