really really fun game to be at. fun team. ayo owning trae and the hawks is one of the best bulls subplots of the 21st century.

also very funny to have a game where literally everybody but one dude plays well. the quick hook for jalen in the 4th in favor of a lineup where pat was our biggest guy on the floor, even as atlanta was playing 2 bigs that were both killing us, really spoke volumes. and it was absolutely the right move!

They are playing some fun TEAM basketball. It’s not just 1 or 2 guys carrying all the load, it’s everyone together without any selfishness. This is a true team.

I wonder where are all the haters at ? A lot of you guys been hiding and will probably show up to post a negative message after the bulls first loss lol.

You’re not wrong, this is a young man’s sport and ofcourse they need to find the next young center but they can always keep Vuc with a much cheaper contract so he can come off the bench when they do get another starting center.

That body is two years away.

It will be playable next season.

I believe the same. He is not ready and I do not want to break his confidence. Or his body

I think he could play right now like Buz did last year in JP’s 6 mins per game. His length and IQ will play right now.

Bulls will reward JP and make Noa beat him out. At least for the first 20+ games.

I think there’s a very clear cap on the potential of this team but I’ll remain highly positive and complimentary in the meantime.

+1

But also I have to mention, we saw a weakness of this type of team here and there and that is hot potato, i pass u ball with 4 seconds left possessions and there was more than 6 and quite few of them ended in shot clock violations. Just today Matas hit a 3 from one, I think Pat Williams also and Giddey and Trae made something out of those possessions, but that's where we missing lead star guard.

pat williams having multiple plays where he muscled dudes for a bucket was insane to witness. luckily he followed one of them up with a dumb kickout that appeared to pass on an easy look at the rim, to remind us it's not a totally different guy out there

I hope Vooch keeps up a solid steady play like this (and honestly like last year). How crazy would it be if Vuc of all guys put up a 50-40-90??

But if he does keep up a solid, WINNING, contribution; I feel like AKME has got to pull trigger on a trade this year, right? If they did, and recouped a 1st round pick or somehow got a good young guy in it ... it would be significant redemption in holding onto him (an actually decent contract) and selling him at a high point.

The crazy situation (and I feel like improbable, but ya know) is if come deadline time the Bulls are #1 seed and somehow just clicking perfectly. Coby's ascended into star scorer, Giddey is a star, all the other guys are playing like they are now, and Vuc if the veteran presence putting up 20/10 and huge contribution to the team identity. Do you really trade him then? I'd honestly say no, run with it. A super savvy GM though might still do it (look to the future; even #1 seed maybe you just don't believe you can win the ring and that's all that matters).

Feels good to be 3 games in an able to think of all sorts of positive situations still haha. Been a while.

Played a lot as a kid but never made it past JV because of my grades and I was only OK at best. Still play pick up at the Y a few times per month.

Do I count as a hater? I've often been referred to as one seeing as I wasn't praising AKME and putting them on a pedestal.

Great start to the season for the young guys.

Matas is going to be up and down all season I think, not the allstar many thought he was going to be, and that's ok, he's still young and learning.

Giddey seems to be continuing where he left off last season, great to see.

Tre Jones is making me forget all about Lonzo (not really), he's such a steady and solid player and fills the stat sheet.

Pat. Please keep up the effort and energy. He's been a good player to start the season. Love to see it.

Ayo, I knew he had this in him, he's the leader of the bench unit and he's delivering. Love this guy.

I had high hopes for Smith, it's very disappointing he's squandering his opportunity here with Collins out. Hopefully he comes around.

Keep up the good work fellas.

Contender status reached. Rebuild complete.

Patrick Williams, among many others, isn't **** around anymore.

We might be the 2015 Hawks if we somehow kept up that pace.

A team of good/decent players without top end talent.

Except we are young with lots of players that at aren’t at their peak yet.

Noa won’t be getting any mins unless there are injuries.

JP has improved and he’s earning his mins. His 3 ball is better than Noa’s right now too.

Noa will have to really improve to be able to get any rotation mins this season.

This is a redshirt season for Noa. We have an extremely competitive team and it won’t be disrupted to give one the rawest and youngest players in the league entitlement minutes. I’d be fine letting him spend a good portion of this season on the Windy City Bulls.

Really interesting how young, but not "young" this team is. Coby, Giddey, Pat, Ayo, Tre, Smith, Okoro ... all seven of those guys are between ages 23-25, and all seven of them have 4-5 years NBA experience under their belts. They are all in their early primes ... none have followed the "star" draft pick where they take a huge leap in year 2/3 ... but none have busted out (Pat has come close based on his pick position; Okoro too). They've all shown development across those 4-4 years, all still possess their raw talents from draft profile (Pat and Okoro specifically in their raw athletic/physical profiles still hold up).

So you have those seven, and then:

1 "rookie"/youth in Matas ... who does profile some potential for that star youth

1 "senior vet" in Vooch ... who has put up a pretty incredible career, 15 seasons, starting almost every game, 17p+10r. It's impressive, and pretty good to have that guy specifically with so many young guys who want to have that kind of extensive career.

2 "vets" in Huerter and Collins ... both journeyed a bit, always held real roles at each stop though. Each 27 yo with 7 years experience. Again, perfect type of role player vets that are here to let the young guys cook, and be stabilizing presence when needed.

(additional young guys that will get minutes during injuries ... I like Phillips most, then Terry, and then Noa will develop in practice)
