This world series game is absolutely insane. At the time of this post, bottom of the 18th at 1:50am Central. Game started at 7pm Central.

I really wanted the Bulls to trade up for Edgecombe, he'd be amazing on this team.

You know how this works right?

1. It happened with Robinson and Duncan too! Are you blind?

2. The league has to rig it for small markets too in order to make it less obvious.

3. Having three elite teams in the huge state of Texas is great for merch sales and playoff narratives!

There will always be some sort of rationale for why the outcome fits the conspiracy.

The Pacers seem absolutely desperate for a center and still cut James Wiseman to sign Mac Mclung, which has to be seen as a negative for Wiseman.

As a former number two overall pick who never really developed and has had some injuries, he seems like exactly the type of player we've been adding in recent years. Are Giddey and Jones could enough point guards to make Wiseman look playable?

I would bring him in for a look. Pacers are more hurt at guard than at C, where they still have Jackson, Bradley and Huff.

Still, the fact that he couldn’t edge out any of those 3 isn’t particularly promising for Wiseman. At the same time, that guy is as injury prone as Collins, so there may be some of that factoring in. Still, it goes more to the “he doesn’t really want it” whispers about him from his draft - all the talent in the world isn’t enough.

So… while I would bring him in for a look… it wouldn’t be necessarily a long look.

Agreed, but once he zoned in on VJ, I don’t think Morey was considering any offers. The Ace Bailey drama worked out very well for them.

I love how the Mavs are using Flagg. Playing him out of position. Giving him no support. And then benching him when he predictably underperforms. Next I think they should make him exclusively shoot 3s like Klay. Mess with his head.

I'd be willing to kick the tires on Wiseman. It's unlikely he'll be worse than Smith until Collins comes back.

It's even worse than you wrote, because although Kidd says that Flagg is the team's PG, he appears not have instructed either Cooper or the team as to how that's supposed to work. Because Cooper isn't playing PG. He's not getting the ball, coming down the court, and setting up the offense. Instead, he's drifting to a corner and waiting for somebody to get him the ball.

Yesterday, he never touched the ball -- not once -- during the first 3 minutes of play. That's not a PG. You would never see that happen with Luka or Derrick or Giddey or Brunson or LeBron or anybody else who actually plays point.

Whether or not this is Cooper's "fault' is beside the point. The real issue is that Dallas is dysfunctional with that approach, being just a bunch of ball stoppers going solo without any true offensive plan, and it's the coach's job to fix that crap. Even Jim Boylen wouldn't let a team look as offensively lost as Dallas has been so far this season.

Every single guard they have is out. They had 4 centers. This seems like a need situation.

Maybe Kidd still pissed about Luka. Giannis said he did help him

Quite the tank job by both the Kings and Wizards to keep OKC and Sixers streak going respectively lol.

Brunson looked like he screwed up his groin/hammy tonight. He came back into the game but didn't look right. Knicks have next two nights off before they play the Bulls.

I am utterly gobsmacked at the Kings as a franchise and the team they’ve built. It’s like a more horrendous version of the Bulls in recent years. I genuinely do not have an idea what they are trying to do.

Tonight they trotted out a starting 5 of Westbrook/Schroder/Lavine/Derozan/Sabonis. That is genuinely the stuff of absolutely nightmares and a genuine 20 win team. Sabonis is arguably the only positive impact player and even then, that is questionable with his defensive limitations.

Not that their plan is great but Keegan Murray being out really screws them. Of course if you are that screwed without a 15 to 20ish best small forward, maybe you are right.

Signing DDR and then trading for Zach never made any sense.

If Fox was set on going to SA then they should've cut the Bulls out of the deal, get as many picks as they can, and then for salary filler take back players such as Tre Jones and Zach Collins.

If they did that I think they'd be in a better position today.

Thinking about it further...if the Bulls are cut out of the deal then maybe the Kings get the Bulls 2025 pick...? If so, it's possible that they could've made the deal with New Orleans.
