i love tre, but there's nothing wrong with bringing him off the bench, and he can get plenty of minutes in that role.
in terms of getting your best 5 on the floor, especially to close a game - it's pretty hard for me to imagine tre/coby/giddey as a three-man unit with vucevic as your standard center in those lineups, but i don't think it's an inherently unplayable trio either. the extra complicating factor is that, on paper, ayo is a much more natural "third man" in a three-guard lineup than whichever one of tre/giddey that you're asking to do more work off ball. but i dunno, there's a universe where tre just keeps playing good enough to force you to at least test it out
Pretty good problem to have. If this team truly is that deep with solid players, I wonder if we see AKME consolidate the talent and make a trade, sacrificing depth for a higher end player.
