C'mon, we're on RealGM for christ sakes, at least have some awareness of the CBA

Technically they could take him into cap space next summer if they renounced all their unsigned players.

You guys think I'm crazy or am I on to something here?

But why? Of all the crazy nonsense in your post, this piece of logic is especially puzzling. Why would the Bucks be forced to trade Giannis to the Lakers if Reeves makes an all star game? Like, what circumstances are forcing this trade to happen?

I mean… do you actually believe the Bucks are sitting there going… Hey, we have a former MVP and Championship winner, but the Lakers got this guy that made his first all star team. Hands are tied… we must trade

This obviously isn't going to happen lol. But side note - I don't know why people are still doing the "well this team obviously doesn't have enough to trade for him" bit. The only way Giannis is getting traded at all is if he tells them he's not signing that extension he's eligible for next October. If that happens, it's not going to be a bidding war. It's going to be "these are the teams I'd actually re-sign with, so trade me to one of them or I walk for nothing".

Anyways, I don't think any of that is going to happen because I don't think Giannis wants to leave. I think the Bucks are going to be better than expected this year and he signs the extension.

I think youre just creating a thread for the sake of creating a thread
still learning the game

We need a poll, would of been more fun lol.

Injuries part is of course a load of BS, did you not watch the Wolves/Lakers game? Luka took a swipe at Reid ended up hitting Reids Knee and it even looked like Reid lifted his leg up as well, you could see Luka was in pain but continued to play that game - anyone of us would have had pain.

That said yes Reaves and just about the entire team + FRP/SRP/Swaps etc will be used to get Giannis or at least offered

Lakers said b4 Luka trade they not going to trade him unless top tier center involved; Giannis/Jokic/Wemby etc so not far off, Lakers will make offers for sure.

1. Giannis/Jokic If that fails
2. Lauri/Kessler, Allen
3. Gafford/PJ's etc etc. Just naming a few

Can't wait to see what unfolds with all this, this thread made me laugh at work and people wondering why I was laughing lol.

Doubt the Lakers win one with Luka there tbh. The West is too good and Rockets/Spurs/Thunder are still young.

Is Flagg in the same tier as Wemby?

Yeah, I mean the NBA has never engaged in anything shady! Not even once!

Never said that. It’s literally every topic, every day. You can be weary and question things, but once it turns into things like this, constantly, it’s not even to the point of being logical. It’s witch hunting

Poor Lakers, victims of a witch hunt. I feel so sorry for them and their fans. It must be exhausting.

I might be wrong but didn't a report that came out this summer say Giannis wants to stay in the East?

The Mavericks GM called Milwaukee 2 weeks before he contacted the Lakers. He proposed Luka for Giannis and the Bucks didn't discuss it.

If Reaves is the centerpiece of any proposed trade to get Giannis, I laugh maniacally before hanging up the phone. Dude has no business being the key piece. None.

lol we can't even laugh at this stuff anymore.
Lakers literally got Luka freaking Doncic for Anthony Davis and 1 pick.

So OP is now saying that NBA teams let Reaves score 51 and 41 points on high efficiency?

Just checking... is it a personal attack to call someone crazy if they're asking the question?

Lakers have been notorious for injuries ever since Lebron got here. This is the status quo.

You mean the reporting from Gary Woelfel? Apparently that's some unknown reporter. Otherwise, no reliable Mavs insider reported this.

And here is the quote even from Bill.

[Bill Simmons Pod] Dallas called Timberwolves and Bucks for Giannis and Ant but didn't mention/offering Luka.

So the wide known notion was, Nico was asking around if some superstar was available but didn't exactly mentioned who he wants to trade in return. Hence why entire NBA world was surprised including GM's. He literally said himself he made the deal purely with Rob and let only Dumont know what was happening. Rob also only told Jeannie because they were afraid it would leak out. If Nico was truly shopping Luka to multiple organizations, word would come out and Nico said himself they were afraid news would get to Doncic's agents.
