I do wonder how tank losses like this impact the young guys. Is Sarr pissed, or does he take the long view?

Honestly, worked out perfect. Sarr killed it, George had a bounce back game, Tre looked good again, Bub played better, and they lost.
Tank rolls on.
Tank rolls on.

Unfortunate, but probably for the best. Holding onto
our FRP combined with the swap (you don't get one
without the other) is the primary goal. Nice game by
Alex.

Vets CJ and Khris blew this one down the stretch. If they can’t make mature decisions in those situations, then it is better if they are moved.

Maybe they were worried about the 76ers intentionally fouling.

If player is not playing well, it is coach's responsibility to sub out and get someone who can play. He should have let Whitmore and Champagnie play. They would have won if they had right players on the court at the end. Didn't they say if you don't play well, you are not going to play? What a lie.

We can’t be winning games. It’s not good for our draft pick. But I really do wish we had won this one. Knocking off an undefeated team would have been a nice feather in the cap.

Easy to call every loss a mastermind tank job by Keefe, I’m not really convinced. Unless CJ is missing on purpose. Did Middleton miss his wide open jumper at the buzzer on purpose too? I get he can mess with lineups but this really came down to some awful ISOs and decision making down the stretch. Like WTF was that 3 by CJ. He’s making Jordan Poole look like Albert Einstein in his prime right now.

Tank rolls on.
This.
We have to stockpile losses now so we can make a morale boosting late season run without jeopardizing our pick. And if we must lose now, it’s best to lose in close losses where we actually look like the better team except for a lack of veteran execution down the stretch.

Champagnie yes Whitmore no. Whitmore missed defensive rotations and IIRC literally passed only once all game
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

I think coach and players wanted to win. But next time, win or lose, want all young guys out there in crunch time for development. CJ and Khris taking those shots does nothing for the long term. If we had the kids out there and still collapse so be it.

Agree if they're going to lose like this it should be the young guns getting those reps

In tank years, the free throw disparity is a gift. I really hope it changes in a year or two. Wiz never get respect.
And why was the team -21 with Keyshawn on the court. He had a fantastic stat line.

If we get the mega stud, it matters not at all, if we get perennially hosed like this past May, it probably matters a little bit.
Part of the issue, however, is that the stink of cold death has been on this franchise for decades, not simply the last game or the past 3 years. It goes back 45. No NBA cultural foot print whatsoever.
So maybe it adds to a preexisting losing culture, but it's hard to really see what another drop of suck would matter to an ocean of suck the past 5 decades. Getting good/great players is the only thing that matters. I don't care if they lose another 78.

Keefe is a tank master. That game would have been out of reach had he put his starters back in earlier. Krispy played half of both the 3rd and 4th quarters. Sarr was killing it and stayed glued to the bench. But truly, truly, CJ is awful.
In Rizzo we trust
