Considering the result and Giannis announcing in the garden that NY is his city, he seemed happy. so im hopeful

Mike Brown has hoodwinked us all!

Now does that mean if a move down the road in moving KAT makes sense for this team to get where it needs to go...maybe...it could even be likely. But everything is opportunity cost. We also traded very flawed players to acquire him but KAT provided more versatility because our lovely extremely talented center that never plays in Mitchell Robinson along with OKC sending a godfather offer for Ihart basically forced our hand to do so.
We always crap on 5he top of the pile first then work our way down.kNicksGmen wrote:sol537 wrote:TheGreenArrow wrote:?s=46&t=W09F6FrMDfp5_y1gKYgF1g
It's really not fair for guys to pile on KAT when he's clearly injured and he played at an all-star level last season. He's not trash... he's just playing like trash right now.
People have their agendas and won't stray away from them. Kat is a flawed player - everyone knew this. Nobody expected a coach to "fix him" in year 11 - the hope is rather to maximize his strengths etc but this system doesn't seem like a great fit for him, or at least he isn't buying in the way we would have hoped (unless it is just the injury limiting him etc). It's confusing the offense is supposed to be fast paced but plan was to start Kat and Mitch? Doesn't add up.
So far this season only Brunson (but only averaging 5 assists) and Bridges are really playing well. And maybe throw in Deuce (but only 2 games). But almost all of the blame is going to Kat right now.
OG is putting up 14 on 37/32 - 51 TS - and his defense has been nothing special. He gets paid 40 mil this season and 42.5 next year. That is looking like an untradable contract if he doesn't improve dramatically.
I haven't seen his name mentioned at all though. People treat him like he's some role player when he's the 2nd highest paid guy on the team. I never liked the contract and thought it was an overpay from day 1. When we traded for him the rumor was he was going to take a pay cut to sign with NY in the ball park of 25-30. Then dude signed essentially a max contract. His contract is a major reason the team is up against the apron.

That post-game deflection “we beat the Knicks” was a nice try.. he didn’t deny wanting to be here tho..
Knicks got to make this giannis trade happen. If you need to attach Mikal/OG along with KAT just freaking do it. Giannis went on a stretch in this game where he literally just took over by himself. Imagine we had that when Brunson goes to the bench.

It's a Bucks/Knicks game so I will entertain your KAT/Giannis drama for a moment![]()
I still feel like other teams could make a more appealing offer to the Bucks but lets say the Knicks were somehow able to make a KAT + (OG or Mikal) swap for Giannis + Kuzma, how would the remaining roster fit around Giannis? The Bucks have tried to put as much shooting around him as possible for years. How would it work if he was sharing more time on the court with non shooting threats like Mitch, Huk and Hart and well below average perimeter shooters like Clarkson and Kuzma? What does your rotation look like?
I feel like you would have to rebuild half the roster but I don't think any of those guys I listed have any trade value now and we don't have much trade capital outside of that either.
kNicksGmen wrote:Why is OG seemingly above slander? Dude often brings nothing on offense and his defense has been nothing spectacular more often than not.
Gets 3/4 what Kat gets but 1/100th of the criticism. His contract is a huge reason we're up against the 2nd apron.
