You didn't refute anything, keep living in denial about how you actually made any good points.

Wemby could go play against the Paralympics basketball team and you would post his stats proudly, like the number one biased fan you are.

Whatever you say champ. Stay mad

Define normal. There is literally nothing normal about this guy.

The Spurs are at the top of the West at the moment. Another non normal thing.

There is no one in the history of basketball that can impact winning more than Wembanyama. And the spurs are well coached. Wemby said it perfectly in the press conference after the last game. To beat the Spurs you basically need to have a great 3-point shooting night. Inside the 3-point line, he simply covers too much space, is too tall and too long to shot a good percentage. Think about this. Last year Evan Mobley won DPOY. Wemby's defensive impact is in a different stratosphere than Mobley. It's to the point where his mere presence impacts what teams are doing. Wemby is the greatest defensive player in the history of basketball period. He should win 10 straight DPOY if not 15 straight. Combine that with the fact that he's the GOAT lob threat. An 80%+ free throw shooter. And he's developing skills. Back to the basket game. Face-up game. Ball-handling.

This the worst Wemby will be. Is it guaranteed that he'll be the GOAT? No. But if all he does is stay on his current trajectory which player in the NBA is going to stand in his way? Especially given how modern basketball is, it's more likely that one of these current stars try to join forces with him lol. Imagine Wemby with a elite wing? Replace Shaq and Kobe with Wemby and Kobe. Who's beating them? How many championships do they win? Kareem won 5 MVPs in 7 years. This what I expect from Wemby. And if he doesn't win MVP and he's healthy it'll be because he got robbed.

I’d define normal as not saying that someone is *already* the GOAT based on 4 games in an 82 game season

To be honest I am iffy on whether his raw talent is better than Wilt or Shaq.... Maybe you can argue he can exceed them due to having a better work ethic/attitude but talentwise I am not so sure.

Haha. I said he would be at the start of his rookie year. I’ve watched him recently and think he is now there.

Yup. Wilt was doing all of this + more in his era (minus the handles since moves Wemby does didn't exist yet). Russ came in and made the Celtics what they are today. Shaq came in an played prime Hakeem as an equal. Duncan dominated the finals and won a chip his 2nd yr. Bron went to the finals almost singlehandedly early. Hell, even Yao, by his 3rd year, was carrying the Rockets defensively while dominating on offense (yes obviously help from Tmac or Franchise too depending on the year).

You are too early on this my dude.

You’d trade Wemby of today for any one of them for a single game all-time draft?
Yep. Just on this question, I would immediately trade him for Shaq, Wilt.

So you made a prediction and are willing it to be true extremely early. I'd say that's a strong bias.

Until a player has been able to be the best in the league for multiple years you can't claim this. Every other best player had to go through teams building their roster and strategy to defend them or score on them.

Until that happens, you won't know how great Wemby is.
I want to see him in a playoff series.

Today? Yes all of em over Wemby. Maybe you could make a case for Wemby over Yao. Games aren't played in a vacuum. Give me the guys who have won early in their careers IN ADDITION to showing us all things we never thought possible

His offensive game is more diverse IMO. His passing is really good, of course Wilt led the league one year and Wemby is not at that level. The point isn’t that he is the best at everything across the board though, the point is cumulatively he is the best. I’d take him over Wilt. I don’t write that lightly. Wemby is make grown men look like 9 year olds against their dad in the driveway. None of it is normal, even by all time great standards.

Shaw will come up too. I watched Vlade and Pollard do enough to beat prime Shaq. Wemby will obviously never be the bully ball player Shaw was but outside of that aspect?

Wilt Chamberlain has a case of being the greatest athlete of all time. Not just the greatest basketball athlete. The greatest athlete in general. He excelled in different sports in an era where sports nutrition was an anecdote.
Wilt Chamberlain in his 3rd year was 265 libres.

If they play one on one Wemby will be forced to shoot only from outside because he will not be able to push Wilt inside. Wilt was a colossal defender as well.
Wilt will post him repeatedly because Wemby outside of some blocks will not have the strength, or the stamina to push him out.

If Wemby adds muscle in the future, this will definitely be more interesting.
As it is now(3rd year vs 3rd year), you're underestimating what kind of athlete Wilt was.

I agree Wilt is the best athlete and likely best ever. But the question is about basketball player. I see more basketball abilities from Wemby.
Wilt, Shaq, KAJ would be over him. Wilt first. He changed the game. I'd go with KAJ next. He won a championship in his second year. Shaq, could not stop him.

He’s honestly the most impressive player I have ever seen.

He has to earn accolades. But we have never seen this combination of physical and skill level.

It’s unbelievable
