Let's go!

We're going to get absolutely torn apart by the Rockets, but hopefully we'll see some promising strategic shifts in the process.

Defensively should be our "easiest" game though. Just let anyone not named KD shoot, and HIT THE BOARDS.

Barnes should just play a share of his minutes as a small-ball 5.

If Senguin continues to shoot 60% from 3 yes it may be tough, I wouldn't be surprised if we do fairly well either though.

We aren't exactly dominant on the glass. Last year, we were the 7th-worst defensive rebounding team in the league. So far this year, we are a lot better, but that still takes us to about average. And they are going to WORK us on the O-boards.

Houston without FVV still has Durant, and I'm down on our prospects of containing Sengun.

True, but KD has been shooting under 28% so far, and is likely going to chew us apart. Otherwise, they're pretty athletic. While I wouldn't expect 50, Amen Thompson is going to be trouble for us to contain and is going to be a large problem for us defensively as well.

Yogurt's right in the sense that this should theoretically be a simpler game for us defensively... I just don't really believe in our defense at this stage of the season. I think we're a little too scattered, and he's arguably the greatest mid-range shooter in league history, with a perpetual size advantage. And he's got what is presently the 2nd-best offensive rebounding team in the league around him. Which, 4 games in, means only so much, but they have a mix of size and athleticism, and will frustrate us with their D.

BUT. Maybe we'll get good games across the board and make me look the fool. I'd take that in exchange for a Raps win!

Darko needs to grow a pair and start CMB. Throw him under fire.

But if past behaviour is anything to go by, I'm thinking Mamu or Mogbo (YUCK!) is the choice.

Some Sprite Zone era looking pricing for this game right now. A good chance to go to a game while everyone is following the Jays.

I would start Mamu for spacing purposes. We’re not playing defence anyways. Go with the offensive approach.

Yeah their offensive rebounding is really good, but it's worth noting their shooting itself is kinda meh. 53.8%, although they draw a crap load of fouls which won't be good for us and our fouling problems.

So it'll probably be more about defensive rebounding and limiting their opportunities at the line.

being CMB went 3-5 from 3, seems he can do that, but provide physical defense. Depends if Adams or Senguin starts at C for Houston.

Yep, it's true. They have a bunch of defense-first guys around Durant, particularly with FVV out. But as you say, we're going to send them on a parade to the FT line and I don't really think we have the chops to win this by limiting fouls and hitting the defensive boards.

That said, if we're able to limit KD, then it does become more of a ballgame.

First start for CMB! A win here at home would be good.
