Theyll have to be comfortable with a potentially low scoring game and throw out bassit (maybe) for an inning or two; see if lauer has an inning in him to pitch. All hands on deck and treat the upcoming game like a game 7. On the extreme end, maybe Springer can pinch hit for Isiah Kiner-Falefa late in the game (depending on the situation).

Just wreck him. **** the strategy.

We deserve this after all the lean years these past 32 years. I never thought I had to wait 32 years to see another World Series. Being stuck with the toughest division in baseball did not help also, when we had very good teams in 1998 and 2006 but there was no Wild Card unfortunately. The heartbreak of 2015, when we were the best team in baseball in my opinion but Luck was not on our side. We could have won in 2021 with that lineup if we could have won one more game to go to the playoffs. The epic Choke Job in 2022 with Gurriel out, and having Clown Tapia playing in the Wild Card Game was devastating since this team was very good in the second half of 2022. Being so terrible last year and in the World Series this year, was an incredible one year turnaround.

Good things come to those who wait. If we win the World Series, I can honestly say my Blue Jays Fan journey will be complete. I will hang it up after this brilliant season, because nothing could ever top the joy this team has brought me and everyone else. This team and the memories of this season will last with me until my dying days (lol). Just one more win, and I could not care less if this team sucked the rest of my life. Canada deserves this, Toronto deserves this, and our long suffering fans deserve this with so many heartbreaks and lean years. God knows we need this Championship. Let's win it in 6 Games back in the 6ix!

Yakomoto pitched an amazing game but I’m hoping the law of averages helps us in addition to the home crowd.

I’d hate to see dodgers win 2 in Toronto while on a 2 game losing streak , I feel like we gotta end it in 6 in the 6ix

Getting to Yamamoto early will allow our fans to go on a bonkers binge noise fest all game while screaming "Happy Halloween" at the same time ,then shouting "We are the champions"

Most Ks by a rookie in the World Series is great.

What really gets me is this though: the last pitcher PERIOD with more Ks in a WS game was in 1968. Nineteen Sixty Eight. Absolutely unreal.

Nice to see you on here bro!

Yup, I feel like Yamamoto kinda ambushed us that game with his assortment of pitches. I have a feeling the hitters will definitely be a bit more dialed in this time around.

11 and 12 years old when Otis Nixon dragged that bunt to first and got thrown out and Joe touched em all the next year. I remember the jays winning 2 world series in my life but back then I didn't even have cable and definitely didn't watch every game and understand the ebbs and flows of 162, year in and year out...Absolutely surreal to be on the doorstep to a world series title 32 years later. Let's go boys! Bring it home

The style they chose to build the team: defense, contact, solid starters, etc, you needed to be in a 7 game series for it to be effective. That's why winning the division was so important.

I noticed they seemed nonchalant, almost overconfident. Now you see the frustration and heads down.

"I saw something on Instagram that someone took a video of me on my phone saying I was locked in," Yesavage said, "but I was just doomscrolling on TikTok and Instagram reels. I just keep it as chill as possible. I don't change anything I say to myself, but I'm also just here to go to work. I try not to think about anything."

I was 9 and 10 for the first two World Series. I still remember how angry my teacher was in the classroom when she discussed the Canadian flag being flown upside down in Atlanta during the singing of the national anthem. That was a total intentional low class move. I watched most games in 1992 and 1993 since I got into baseball in 1991, after attending the all-star game at the Skydome with my Uncle; who is the one the responsible for my love of baseball. I had a feeling just before Joe Carter hit the iconic home run in 1993 that he would make magic happen.

I thought he would make at least solid contact to drive home Henderson. Never imagined it would be be a 3 Run Homer. I remember celebrating in School and yelling "3-Peat" to my Gym Teacher (lol). Never thought it would take 32 F'n years to recapture that childhood joy. It should been 10 years ago, since the 2015 Jays were better than Kansas City on paper but luck did not go out way (bad defense and umpiring also in critical moments). They would have beaten the Mets that year. Better late than never. Time to close this one out in Game 6 at the 6ix.

Yamamoto is obviously incredible and has been his last 2 starts but I still feel like it’s possible to get contact against him. It’s just hard to hit him deep for power. He was 8th best at ground outs on the year.

Where he’s best is control and accuracy and game prep. All pitchers study hitters and scouting reports and try to put the ball in places where those hitters struggle but he sets guys up for their out pitches great, he doesn’t walk many, and when it’s time to pin point he can do it with the best of them.

But I don’t think he’s got unhittable stuff and you’re almost worse with him if you’re chasing walks that will end up being strike 3s with him painting the outside of the zone so if it’s anywhere near the zone I hope they swing.
