The GM isn't serious. The coach isn't serious. The players aren't serious.

From top to bottom this organization doesn't live in reality. You can't win off vibes and hope. We're the Toronto Barneys.

There's just a center and size issue. They'll likely address it sometime soon. A single trade like Agbaji and a pick for Kessler would solve it for us. I don't think that's the move we'll be making but something similar would save our asses.

You might be right, but you're also much more optimistic than I am. I see deeply foundational issues that start with the GM and the coaching staff.

Just think if we had kept the Pacers pick and traded down with Pelicans.

That would have been a tWo masterclass.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Phoenix also doesn't own their pick this year correct?

That's right. In the grand scheme of the madness within the 2026 1st WSH/MEM/ORL/PHX/CHA swap conditions, Phoenix won't end up with a pick out of that lot.

Just think if we had known Haliburton would tear his achilles in the NBA Finals which was so incredibly obvious at the time. Unfortunately, this is the lack of foresight the FO has continued to show throughout their tenure.

It's time for Bobby to show us he's serious about winning. Dismantle Masai's team and implement your own vision, or GTFO.

The point is we didn't need to trade for BI. He didn't move the needle for this team. We're still a lottery team.

You dont think 5 games into the season is pre mature for that kind of takes?

Five games into this season, it's clear the following teams are ahead of the Raptors:
- New York Knicks
- Cleveland Cavaliers
- Miami Heat
- Detroit Pistons

These teams are probably better:
- Milwaukee Bucks
- Philadelphia 76ers

This team should be better:
- Orlando Magic

These teams have a chance to be better:
- Chicago Bulls
- Charlotte Hornets

That would put us fighting for the 10th seed with Boston and Atlanta. I wouldn't back this Raptors team to win that fight.

The average end of lottery team wins around 43 games. You think this team is a lock to win above 42-43 games?

9th seed wins last 10 years - 39, 39, 41, 43, 34 (72 games), 23 (65 games), 39, 39, 41

I think it would take some pretty extreme circumstances to not make the Play-In. Of course, even if you finish 7th, you can find yourself as lotto team.

Let's relax with some of these hot takes. Its 5 games into the season, and the Raps have had a tough schedule to start the season. Wait until the 25 game mark, before determining who is ahead of who.

I think we’re going to make the play-in, even if it’s by default. Still a good chance we’re in the lottery though (depending on how long Poeltl’s injury lingers).

Really depends on Poeltl’s health. If he’s back in a week we should be ok. If he misses extended time we’re going to be in trouble. Until we get a clear answer on him everything is up in the air.
