Sounds like Melton will be out for most of, if not all of, November.

I think Seth can be signed in two weeks. My calculations, which might be off a bit, requires him to remain unsigned for at least the first 22 days of the regular season.

Technically, the regular season started on October 20th. So, November 11th at the earliest? I thought I've seen anywhere from November 12-14.

Pretty sure you're right on the 11th, though I've seen speculation that they may delay signing to give themselves a little more room under the hard-cap.

On another note, I like Melton, but I'm a little surprised they gambled on him again, especially since he seems nowhere near ready. Giving him a PO for next year seems like really rolling the dice, not to mention it causes his full 3M salary this year to count toward the apron, instead of the 2.2M that a one year contract would.

So we're basically going to get half a year of game-shape Melton it sounds like. If he's lucky and doesn't re-injure. Which makes racking up these early wins even more important because other injuries will be coming later and we're going to need more guys who can step in.

I see Melton hopefully as the new improved GPII who you just hope stays healthy and can give you 15 good mpg.
