Best chance was last year.

Now not only do they have a prime Shai to contend with but Wemby. And if Wemby stays healthy, even whatever Shai does won't matter. The defensive impact Wemby has on the game at the moment (Forget about offense) is just legendary. This video encompasses his impact accurately and also details how really 1 of 1 a player like Wemby has become. Combine his defense and offense and we are looking at quite possibly one of the greatest players, possibly the greatest if he can remain healthy. All by 22 years of age.

Giannis. He has a huge advantage over everyone else since he doesn't have to dribble the ball.

Another year, another NBA season of Jokic being far and away the best player in the league.

If he cared about scoring 30 ppg he'd run away with this award.

Probably won't be considered for MVP if he's only at 20 ppg because the casuals love points and fresh faces, but he's still the best player in the league and this Denver team look at least as good as the championship team.

Can’t get there with “far and away”, there’s no evidence to support it being some sort of massive gap over the other contenders. And with Wembanyama emerging, his defense will get put under a microscope.

I have the exact same thoughts about Giannis since 2019.
My favourite though continues to be Steph.

He wasn't "far and away" better than SGA last season, the two were comparable in every posdible way and Giannis wasn't far behind

This season Wemby has been better and will likely become the best in the league at 22 years old, on his way to being the GOAT at 26

Jokic has been insane (as always) this season. Posters here not even including him in their top 5, when he bssically had 4 trip doubles in 3 quarters each, efficiently and majestically as ever..i mean, that's ludicrous

Its dumb to talk about MVP after 4-5 games, but he hasn't been far and away the best player this season either, come on now..that's just as ludicrous as not having the Joker in a top 5

I agree. Victor or someone else may win the MVP but Jokic is still the best player in the NBA and should have won the last 5 MVP awards, imho. But voter fatigue is a real thing and unless the Nuggets win 60+ while he puts up another triple double I think the media will be looking for an excuse to give it to anyone else

The top 5 players are Jokic, Giannis and Wemby. Next step below them is SGA and Luka.

SGA was pretty comfortably better in EPM, which is a stat I coincidentally think is good.

Wemby lost his chance.

Bam destroyed him.

Jokic or SGA.

Wemby is the best player. Not Jokic.

Definitely seems like it'll be Wemby if he plays enough games and can sustain this level. He's been unbelievable so far

1. SGA

2. WEMBY

3. COWARD

In terms of value, Wemby is already the MVP this season. I think the roster around him is overrated and without Wemby, they wouldn't sniff the play in.

take SGA and Chet off the team and they aren't winning anything with a lineup of caruso, wiggins, jaylin, hartenstein. it's a joke.
jokic got 56 points from gordon one game. murray is averaging 30.3/5/6.

We're not buying it fam. And your argument is weak. Take two of the three best players off a team while their 2nd best player is injured and of course they're not winning anything. What is Denver winning without Jokic and Gordon? What is Boston winning without Tatum and White? Would GS win in 2022 without Curry and Thompson (or Green/Wiggins)? Exactly :noway:

chet missed the last 2 games, last year he missed half the season but the team still wins at the same clip because SGA bails them out. and who is Gordon ? you mean MURRAY
