ball hands in your best players more....suggs and blacks hands less....get more spray out opportunities for bane....if you must use black and suggs as handlers you can't have franz and paolo just standing in corners all the time....problem seems to be we don't have enough off ball movement these days, something franz was great at in earlier years and something paolo doesn't do enough

Unrelated but Franz out Paolo goes for 50 and fires up the they can’t coexist narrative? Please no.

I saw this and what Lou said about Paolo is what I've been saying since hes been drafted. Paolo shouldn't touch the ball beyond the 3pt line much less be initiating offense beyond it. That's not his game. 20 -15 feet in should be his staple. We saw it in the first quarter last night. Then in the 3rd quarter we go back to him beyond the 3pt line again. It's maddening

The issue is that is his game since high school, so for him to completely abandon it would probably feel foreign to him even if it helps our team.

Thats a good point. The problem is that it doesn't translate to the NBA Level. Same with Suggs and AB. They have played point guard at every level, but they are not NBA point guards. We need a coach who is going to put guys into positions where they can be successful instead of placating them and having them play how they want to. Suggs and AB are not lead guards and should not be playing that role on our team. Paolo is not to be initiating offense from beyond the 3pt line. He should be on the block or the elbow and putting pressure on the rim. Franz is our best creator and should have an obscene on ball usage rate. He should be our point forward and the offense should be running through him. Bane should not be driving into the paint and kicking to non-shooters. He should be taking 8-12 3 pt shots a game and driving off closeout to a midrange or floater. This seems like a commonsense offense based on personnel. We are playing the exact opposite of what we should be doing and it's frustrating to watch.

I'd love to see Penda get 30 minutes plus. It's hard to play Jase since we're already so small.

Thank you, Killmonger, agreed.

This board is all over the place, making up narratives left and right.

They're figuring stuff out. Players and coaches. They understand the urgency. We don't have to make it a bigger deal than it is.

It's the first week of the NBA season. It's always up and down. You all know this but you decide in the moment that you don't.

The '09 Finals team lost their first two games, remember.

This year's WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces were 12-13 before rattling off a 16-game winning streak at the end of the season and into the playoffs before winning it all.

We're good! We're going to be okay!

Good grounded takes.

My main concern is that with the team being so young the losses could compound and get in their heads early on. Last season with all the injuries the team was still giving 150% every night even in bad losses. This season they don’t seem as locked in, especially down the stretch. Perhaps the team, like a lot of us fans, thought everything was answered on paper with the Bane and Tyus moves, and now in practice it’s not looking like that yet, at all.

You just don’t want an environment that can become a breeding ground for negativity in the locker room. That’s part of the reason why Suggs has stood out to me this season as the heart of the team. He’s the one who gets guys playing at a higher level.

Just saw the espn highlights from last night and they start with Paolo at the FT line talking sh** to Tobias then proceeding to brick two FTs then a montage of Detroit clowning us, smh.

Black starting. To be expected because of LaMelo. Def wasn't going to throw Tyus (or Jase) on him early.

Everyone was gassing this team up. It’s only fair to shine a light on how pathetic they are right now. I love that so many people are saying that Paolo needs to man up and become a leader.

If Paolo wants to be the guy he claims he is in those puff YouTube videos, he’s got to clean this stuff up. He’s a huge reason the defense has fallen off. 7 missed free throws are unacceptable. As the leader of the team, you just have to be better.

If we turn it around quickly, this start could be a blessing in disguise to figure out a lot of things and light a fire under the ass of players who otherwise would've continued doing dumb stuff.

People have to also remember that many coaches, players and teams are figuring out rotations, what works, what doesn't work in real time.
