Skip to the 9 minute mark.

Clippers front office is just full of scammers and crooks aren’t they?

Kind of puts a more menacing spin on this anecdote:

Probably took the under on how many games Kawhi would play.

Is it too early to bet the under on how many games the current coaching staff and GM of the Clippers will be on hand for next year?

Maybe somebody here knows Damon Jones who can give us the insider information on where his 'best friend' is at regarding the investigation(s)!

I give Pablo credit for his investigative work. But I do not enjoy his style of podcast. He conceals info and then reveals it only slowly. He has admitted in interviews this is a deliberate choice because he wants his guests to be surprised by the reveal. I wish he would get to the point faster. It often seems that he has made his mind up already but it annoys me to listen to him speaking in a conclusory way and being coy about not showing the supporting evidence. Maybe I am just impatient.

If this is how he makes his money (and I have no reason to believe it isn't), then drip feeding information makes sense.

Yes, agreed. Just not my cup of tea. I could read all the underlying documents faster than listening to Pablo drip feed me. I like him as a journalist. But not a consumer of his podcast. Others may enjoy the slow delivery and that is totally fine. It's entertainment.

At this point every fan who dislikes his team's coach will be praying that his coach will somehow be linked with all this.

Just for clarity, he's been linked to the illegal mafia poker games, not the NBA betting scandal.

It is a deliberate production choice. Reminds me of wasting time with my parents back in the day watching some "who-done-it" crime show with them (think network US shows ~~ Dateline, or 20/20, 60 minutes) and thinking, yeah, this guy is guilty 10 minutes in, but the show is...a lot longer. They drip feed audience to keep them on the program.

It is funny I can listen to music for hours on the side and not feel annoyed, but with podcasts I get annoyed after 20-30 minutes of being talked at  Definitely feel Larry's frustration on this point.

Also Lue, good luck. It's not a great sign to be employed by a team under investigation, and linked to another investigation....
Cheers

Legend has it that the Clippers mistakenly gave a fan a popcorn when he ordered a hotdog. The fan's name is Pablo Torre.

That or the Clipper mascot did the ol' fake tossing a bucket of water stunt on Pablo. But, instead of confetti, it was raw sewage.
