Like the title says, first 5-0 start in Spurs history since joining the NBA 53 years ago.

They are must watch TV. Folks need to hop on the Wemby bandwagon while there is still time claim you were there from day one.

Crazy to think they’ve never done it before, especially with some of the teams they’ve had over the years.

This team isn’t even in its final form either.

For some silly reason, my mind went to $5.25 (5-0), and I thought, "Yeah, that's about right."

So, we figured it was coming, but maybe not this soon.

Wemby is already the best player in the league. Most impactful defender for sure, and his shot diet has changed enough that his offense is also amongst the best in the league.

Scary stuff.

Harper has been a revelation. great size, vision and rim pressure. And most importantly he actually looks to get the ball to Wemby.

Considering this is the Spurs we're talking about that's almost proof not to overreact to the first 5 games of the season

I remember watching that scene in pulp fiction where Uma Thurman orders that 5 dollar milkshake, back in the day, thinking it was crazy expensive.

In 2025, it sounds like the bargain if a lifetime.

Yea it's astonishing really that no Spurs team had ever started 5-0 considering some of the great teams we've had over the years. Glad this young group got it done though. Against a talented, gritty, and well-coached Miami team no less. But more importantly, it's nice to be winning games again after the past few years of mediocrity and some years even being downright abysmal.

This roster is still pretty flawed. We're young and inexperienced and we still need more talent & shooting around Wemby, especially at the 3 & 4 positions. But it's also got a nice group of young talent on it that are already making names for themselves. Lots of "young player mistakes" being made and still lots to improve on, but it's cool being excited about this team again. Hopefully we can keep this winning streak going for a while. One game at a time. And looking forward to getting Fox, Kornet, Sochan, and Olynyk back.

They really nailed their recent draft picks, that is paying immediate dividends for them. Happy to see them do well.

Next 2 up are Suns and shorthanded Lakers, then we have real chance of dropping the streak against Rockets.
Odds are Spurs will be able to extend this undefeated start.

Its hard to beat a young team that never has a disadvantage, night in and night out. Every weakness is covered by 2 positions on the floor..

Good job over there in SA. Such a young team with so many holes and weaknesses, yet it doesn't seem to matter much when you have a unicorn goat galloping around the court getting 6 blocks per game. the scary thing is that if he's elevating this squad, imagine what he can do if Fox comes back and integrates well? You can probably put 4 guards around Wemby without much problem. And if that doesn't work they can flip these young high value assets easily, or find a big deal for Fox. The Spurs have always just been one huge question mark on how Wemby was going to play this season. He's exceeded expectations by a mile, and the team success shows for it.

We're going to see some things we haven't seen in a while. Youngest MVP since D Rose? Youngest DPOY? First quadruple double since The Admiral did it in the same colors 31 years ago?

Now we need to see if Wemby can put that constant annoying narrative to rest. "Will he stay healthy?". And we'll only see those results with time.
