Options in that salary range are Myles Turner, Isaiah Hartenstein, Nicolas Claxton. The last two are the only plausible trade targets to me. Are there others?

Last 2 aren't even plausible at all. Why would OKC move Hartenstein for Jak? I think it could maybe be a slight upgrade for us but again why would OKC do it and take on Jak's lengthy contract with all their max deals coming on the books next season? Claxton is a massive downgrade from Jak and the Nets are tanking so that makes no sense for either team.

They want to shed salary and maybe you find a third team for Poeltl? I'm just saying they're plausible because they're available and gettable.

IQ, that contract is going look nasty, fast, if we can't find a taker soon enough.

Who ever has the highest trade value. Perhaps not BI or SB due to politics. CMB too.

I would ask Orlando and Detroit if they want some scoring and bench
Detroit could use Quick or RJ to help
I would take J Ivey Stewart combo
Orlando - maybe a contract Suggs lol

What makes you think they want to shed salary this year? Chet and JDub's extensions don't kick in till next year and they already have a team option for Hartenstein they can choose to not pick up next year if they want to.

The time to trade guys was last year and go into a mini rebuild. Not sure what our front office was thinking. Really the only players that are keepers are Barnes and CMB. Poeltl, Quickley, RJ will be tough to move because of their contracts, but if we were to do a rebuild we should prioritize clearing salary

IQ (although I doubt there’s takers & frustrating we didn’t draft Ajay Mitchell instead of Mogbo) and Gradey (should’ve tried this past draft tbh).

I'd love to do an "undo" on the BI trade -- seriously, I'd rather have Indy 2026 FRP + Olynyk + Davion Mitchell + at least $10M under the tax line -- but unless the team starts winning, I doubt he gets much interest, so

Agbaji

I think TOR has too many issues (C, PG, overall D), and too many contracts it would take picks to move, to make an in-season turnaround via trade possible. I'd argue that Poeltl, IQ, RJ and Dick are all underwater and would require picks to move, and it just doesn't make sense to give up draft capital in an attempt to shoot for maybe a .500 record. Some of the contracts (such as IQ's and RJ's) will age OK, at least take less to move next year than this, so conserving assets argues for keeping them for now.

So the FO might as well free up some salary to duck the tax as cheaply as possible, and see if a couple of min-salary Cs can help. Agbaji is JAG, but at least he is JAG, and I can see why a team bound for the playoffs would want him as their 9th man, especially if they don't have to give up any talent they care about.

I'd trade Agbaji ($6.4M) for a scrub on a minimum, and try to use the roughly $4M saved to look for 1 or 2 playable Cs on a minimum salary contract, and try to clear out at least 1 starter not named Scottie in the offseason
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

The moves for OKC are to dump Isaiah Joe and if needed Aaron Wiggins. Kenrich Williams and Ousmane Dieng would be left to walk in the summer.

I was begging to trade Agbaji at the deadline or ANYTHING during the draft. Now he's shooting 12.5% from 3. Gotta sell high.

It’s more who can we trade, but I’d be for improving the outlook and no one would be off the table.

The defense isn’t gimmicky it’s similar to Indy’s. we aren’t executing it. There’s been a significant increase in full court press this year.

Trading Jak is objectively unwise. His unavailability is why we’re losing. He brings the whole scheme together for us.

I do think we need a consolidation trade for a mobile big, and we still need more shooting. We could use one more defender but that could just come from shifting rotations.

That leaves me with the following: I’m open to trading Gradey but that’s largely because we have Ochai and Walter. Similarly, I’d move Mogbo because we have CMB now. Those moves seem to be the lowest hanging fruit.
I believe in Masai.

I wonder if the team looks awful going into the middle of the season if they do Ingram a solid and send him to a winner

To Toronto
Stephon Castle
Keldon Johnson
Harrison Barnes

To San Antonio
Brandon Ingram

Then follow up with

To Utah
Jakobe Walter
Gradey Dick
Jakob Poetl
2 2nds

To Toronto
Walker Kessler
Jusuf Nurkic

You add two defensive minded players that can usher in a culture change similar to 2014 post Gay trade

Kessler
CMB
Barnes
Barrett
Castle/Quickley
2016 GMAT Blazers

Howard/Nene/
Griffin/M.Leonard/T.Jones
Porter/Marc.Morris/J.Johnson
McCollum/Stauskas/Thompson/Seldon
Lillard/Bayless/DeColo

Really should be IQ and/or RJ. But IQ is showing everyone why he's more suited as a sixth man, and while RJ recouped some value, he's up for a pay day.

Reality is we'll maintain status quo and make a luxury tax move. Ochai for a TPE, dumpster dive for a min contract or two and hope for one becomes an NBA player.

Raps get: Markkanen
Cavs get: Ingram
Jazz get: Garland, Agbaji & Mogbo (& maybe Dick)

well....raps are a mess.....
a lot of mediocre wing talent
gradey dick is a bust, jakobe walter is a bust, ochai is ok

RJ is pay not too bad, but signing jakob doesn't look good so far, while IQ is an albatross

We should have just let OG walk.

Definitely should have retained Davion Mitchell on a long term deal. He and Scottie has decent chemistry.

IQ is not a starter in this league. He should be in a 6th man role, and at max he should be making $16M a year.

Jak being injured clearly shows. If his injury is long term and we do not address the C spot, season is a write off. Not a bad thing for this draft, but we really should have made that trade with the pelicans on draft night since they loved that big so much. Imagine we never traded for BI, we would have Indy's, NO's and our own picks in the 2026 draft. Indy would have been top 3 protected but 3 odds to land some real cornerstone pieces.

Immanuel is never playing the D we need from the PG spot.

The trade I would propose,

Quickley
Barrett
Battle

for

Dejounte Murray
Marlo Matkovic
Salary filler if possible

I realize Jordan Poole is on the Pelicans and they probably dont do this but Joe Dumars is in New Orleans folks. We need to strike before he gets fired.

I'd trade anyone on this team for the right price, starting with BI and RJ.
