It seems like we are in bonus halfway through every quarter

In general, I like seeing the increased defensive aggression... but I'd like it to not be exceedingly stupid and doomed to fail/backfire, you know?

When you're behind the guy, blindly swiping, it's pretty much always a bad, foul-prone play, for sure.

Being aggressive and getting burned is going to happen, but we are seeing some reckless gambles out there leading to easy buckets and fouls. RJ would be one of the main culprits there.

I feel like ive seen it from so many plays from Jakobe, gradey, quickley come to mind as well.

Oh yeah, IQ isn't alone, but there was just a stretch of him taking a lot of bad shots and crap fouls, so it stood out to me. Especially since it wasn't necessary. But yeah, far from alone.

We are getting some desired results from the defensive aggression (3rd in Defensive Turnover rate and 4th in Transition Scoring), but yeah we need to balance it out with not being stupid out there.

Give and take, right? I suppose we can deal with it for the first little bit while we try and get anything resembling competent defense together.

The starting lineup is at complete odds with Darko’s coaching philosophies and it’s not something that can be fixed. It’s why he’s searching desperately for line ups that can win their minutes.

Darko's job this season (by his own admission, as well as management and the players) is to win games. It's not to implement his own philosophies, especially if the roster is not suited to those philosophies. I wonder how much of this is Darko's inflexibility or the front office dictating an on-court strategy. The latter would explain the last two drafts.

This. We don't have the personnel to play his style of basketball. Its really a shame because hes doing a good job, but with the salary cap locked, Poeltl injured and the team struggling Darko might end up the odd man out.

They have the pieces. It's really just making them work together in that competitive environment.

btw Scottie is defending <6FT at the 8th highest volume and teams are shooting 79.5% against him. It's an early result against massive size disadvantages. A bad number would be 65% on the year. Scottie will eventually get below 60% because he's good at this.

Problem with Scottie is never talent or skill, but his BBIQ. The mistakes he makes beeing in year 5 is mindboggling sometimes.

That's not what I was saying at all. The results are bad but will certainly normalize. They are probably not mistakes at all. The important takeaway is that even if Scottie was the worst in the league at this he'd end up around 65% on the year.

It's terrible basketball. Nothing else to say really.

Yes they have talent but so did last years Pheonix Suns (way more talented by comparison) and it didn't mean ****. It's a team sport at the end of the day and if the synergy isn't there then that's on the management for putting this sorry ass group together.
