Yaxel Lendeborg
Karter Knox
Koa Peat
Isaiah Evans
Matt Able

No one is going to take it seriously how good Peterson, Boozer and Dybantsa are because of how recent Givony's stupid ESPN article was, being published during the draft cycle that just ended and still relatively fresh of mind.

All those guys look good, but usually 4-5 guys are hyped prior to the season and you're lucky if one guy emerges as a legit #1 in the tier of a AD, Zion or potentially Flagg. Excelling at the college level as a freshman is actually quite hard, even for the most talented HSers.

i'm wondering if there will be a day when the ncaa (and related) pay the college kids enough money that they will stay in the program because the money they are making is more than the NBA rookie scale contract. Cooper Flagg supposedly made or picked up $28M in contracts and thats only the start of his 1 year in college. tip of the iceberg?

I’ve thought about this as well, but delaying the second contract will still deter the top prospects from staying in college. I can’t see someone like Flagg wanting to start his second NBA contract at 25 or 26.

Isn't our Pacers draft pick owed to the Pelicans top 4 protected? It seems this is our best chance at a top pick
That means if it lands in the top 4, then we get to keep it, or Indiana gets to keep it?

Clearly defense is the difference between winning and losing for this team.

Indiana has their 2026 FRP, they got it back from the Pels by dealing their 2025 FRP (23rd pick).

Mgoon Gwath is my favourite player and should be our pick. That's my stance

He did a lot of work and was well versed on a wide number of prospects, but of all the scouts that put in the hours I found him to be one of, if not the worst. Quite glad he isn't on the Raptors, but will miss him distorting views across a swathe of the population which made beating consensus much easier.

Miikka Muurinen

I'm hoping his stock doesn't go crazy and is available like a taller Johnny Furphy. In the 20's I like him, Haugh and De Larrea.

I think it's too late. He's all over social media and youtube right now. Looks kinda like a birdman type, but if he shows any creation whatsoever he's gonna be the 6'11 more athletic Cooper Flagg in peoples minds before too long.

If the draft was right now I'd say he's a top 10 lock. I'd think he would need to have quite a poor showing this year to fall to 20. Even then I could see just the projection of his potential being enough to go higher.

He's going to a European team where he might not get much playing time - He'll be in the 10-20 range for sure imo

I believe we have a 1st round pick and two 2nd round picks?
Hopefully our 1st would give us a shooting forward or center with defense.

Looking at a defensive PG in the 2nd round, there are Solo Ball, Boogie Fland, Silas Demary Jr., Milos Uzan

It doesn't look like there are a lot of big men prospects this upcoming draft, especially in the top 10.

Those are good options (though they can't play with Barnes), shall see the fit if we have the choice to draft Nate Ament, Chris Cenac Jr., Caleb Wilson, maybe also see if Jayden Quaintance is able to stretch the floor as well for mid-1st option.

Indiana got their pick back for their 23rd pick in 2025. In other words, they traded...

Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora, Ja'Kobe Walter, Asa Newell, Isaiah Collier
for
Pascal Siakam

Highway robbery and they're probably going to add a Top 10 pick in this year's draft after going to the ECF and Finals.

Quaintance shoots under 50% FT's. I don't think he'll be able to shoot from outside, similar to Poeltl. With CMB, I wouldn't draft another PF.

This is my worry to have someone with low free throws, shall see over the season.
As for CMB, I don't see him as PF, as he will lose his advantage in bullying. He will excel as a SF and guarding both SG or SF.

As for the options, I would draft a PF with good shooting and defense to compensate CMB, particularly on the rebounding and size factor. This also allows us more flexible in having a C.

Reality is we need a top 5 pick maybe even a top 3 pick to get a player that could actually turn the franchise around for the better....Sure you can find talent later in the draft but 90 percent of the time you are getting a starter/role player in them parts of the draft....

We need a highly ranked player, AJ/Peterson/Boozer are the real prizes that have the most potential to turn a franchise around...

Deep draft but we need more than just role players/good starters to fix the franchise.
