Yes, they really nailed the first overall pick in Wemby. Why can't other teams draft so well?

Such a young team with so many holes and weaknesses, yet it doesn't seem to matter much when you have a unicorn goat galloping around the court getting 6 blocks per game. the scary thing is that if he's elevating this squad, imagine what he can do if Fox comes back and integrates well? You can probably put 4 guards around Wemby without much problem. And if that doesn't work they can flip these young high value assets easily, or find a big deal for Fox. The Spurs have always just been one huge question mark on how Wemby was going to play this season. He's exceeded expectations by a mile, and the team success shows for it.
We're going to see some things we haven't seen in a while. Youngest MVP since D Rose? Youngest DPOY? First quadruple double since The Admiral did it in the same colors 31 years ago?
Now we need to see if Wemby can put that constant annoying narrative to rest. "Will he stay healthy?". And we'll only see those results with time.

Man, I wish a cup of coffee was only a quarter...

Not only Wemby but also Castle and Harper. Both have been ready to contribute since day 1. Without them they wouldn't be playing as well as they have been lately.

The tallest player in the league who also can do wing stuff is a cheat code and it's not fun to watch at all. They won't even let you create that in 2k

Agree with all of this but dont see how they are full of holes. That was last year. They added Harper who very quietly looks like an absolute stud. Fox hasn't even played yet (good luck stopping him getting downhill with whoevers guarding Wemby not being able to detach from him at all to help on drives). Kornet is one of the better backup centers and rim protectors in the league, Castle has taken a significant step (he looks extremely good!)Vassell is a high level starter, Champaignie and Barnes are very solid spot up shooters, Johnson is a decent rotation player, Sochan hasn't played yet, same with Olynk. They're pretty stacked, and have added a ton since the last time Wemby was playing through both additions and internal growth, which includes Wemby literally and figuratively. They're pretty stacked.

I didn’t see the game last night but having a 17-1 run on you isn’t something you want to see even on the box score.
They are playing better than I thought and hopefully they can integrate Fox and company quickly. I been impressed with Harper in the time I have seen him.
And well Wemby isn’t even in his final form.
They can only play who is in front of them though.Blame Rasho wrote:Let’s pause a bit, it hasn’t exactly been murders row with the teams they have played.

PF is their weakest link,HB is just not a starter level anymore, Sochan still not develop reliable outside shooting
