The best hitters in the lineup to give Jays a chance against Yamamoto

I have faith these guys have beat the best of the best. Yama is the final boss but we can get to him. Whatever it takes!

Wrecking Yamamoto to win the World Series is destiny

I think we might see a late game replacement for Bo if we have a one run lead.

I’m not sure it has already been mentioned but Yamamoto has never pitched on 4 days rest / regular rest in his entire time in mlb.

He has always started with at least one extra day rest (5 days rest).

Hope it will impact him.

If we are in the lead and Bo is not likely to get an at bat again (within a 9 inning game) it would be coaching malpractice not to sub him out for defence.

But certainly do not take him out in the sixth like last time. And don’t take out Barger for Straw.

Just rewatched the highlights from all the wins this playoffs, and it's crazy how much every single player has contributed except Little.

Why? We’ve done that all season and there are loads of scenarios where it makes sense for both of them.

If the Jays do have a late lead, there’s a 0% chance Bo Bichette is finishing the game on the field.

There's a huge difference between a close loss tonight and a blowout loss tonight. We have way more pitching options over the course of 2 games than they do.

I'd love for them to use Ohtani as the first reliever tonight. Get his bat out of the lineup for the ed of the game.

I didnt know that was a rule. Thats good news.

So you can only pitch and DH at the same time if you are a starter? Weird. I guess when they made the ohtani rule they didnt include relief pitching.

I guess thats why they will probably start Ohtani in a potential game 7 because they can always pull him for glasnow. But they can't pull glasnow for ohtani. Interesting.

I expect Shohei to start in a potential game 7 for this reason and pitch at least a few innings. Glasnow will then follow assuming he doesn’t also pitch tonight.

They stated that Yamamoto was rattled (in the Japanese leagues) when players bunted, stole bases, manufactured runs, and played small ball to take him out of his rhythm and rattled him; draw out his pitches and have long at bats. You may not get as many home runs but singles, bunts, walks, stolen bases, etc will be more advantageous for the jays to employ than in the previous games. Of course, if you get a first pitch that leads to a home run, then you take that and run.

Need base runners to do that which this team didn’t get in game 2.

Interesting, but he’s on 5 days rest (if you don’t count his warmup on Monday).

Obviously there's nothing I want more than a win tonight but what I want almost as much is for the crowd to have good reason to be bonkers all night and for nothing to take them out of the game early. A win tonight against Yamamoto on Halloween with a crowd that is going to come out of the gates as crazy as anything anyone has ever seen would be such a perfect way to end this dream season. I really don't think I could physically hold up for a game 7.

More panic moves from the Dodgers.

I honestly dont get the Rojas move, he has a 594 OPS against righties (Gausman reverse splits guy i guess)? Mookie hitting in a run scoring spot also doesnt seem ideal either. Whens the last time Edman played CF? Surprised theyre not just going back to Pages if they want their best defensive unit out there.

Some of the Dodger podcasters were suggesting that Mookie should be dropped to 9th. They knew it wasn't gonna happen, but Dodgers need to go all out to win both games, not salve fragile egos.

Your right .. did not include one of the travel days
So it’s just his regular turn.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I hope he brings in IKF. If he does that means there's a good we're leading the game late. You make whatever adjustments the game is dictating.

Yep. It really helps us because without that stipulation ...they couldve used yama/ohtani and glasnow/snell with the relief guys each getting 3 days off. I suppose they could use glasnow tonight if they need to....

On the other side....i'm sure Tre can be used in a game 7 with his young arm that didnt pitch a full major league season.

Need our LH batters to come up big tonight and all that wont matter. Varsho and barger have a big opportunity. Its unlikely they face a lefty for the entire game.
