I can see Moe at PF/Goga C in certain lineups, same with Moe/Isaac

Same.. Goga/Moe kinda makes a lot of sense on paper.

There's just something I feel that's off with Goga lately.

Looking at passing splits for some of our guys and Paolo/Bane are a standout as each other’s top option to pass to. But both are shooting horribly off of passes from the other.

Passes from Bane
Paolo 25% fg, 28% 3fg
Franz 59% fg, 40% 3fg

Passes from Paolo
Bane 24% fg, 18% 3fg
Franz 67% fg, 57% 3fg (1 fewer total FGAs from 24-25, but the efficiency is 100% improved)

Passes from Franz
Paolo 28% fg, 0% 3fg (Paolo yet to take a 3 from a Franz pass)
Bane 60% fg (on less than 1 fga a game)

Bane is shooting best from 3 off passes from AB and Tyus on less than 1 attempt a game. (I think Tyus might’ve only assisted Bane on 1 3 this season).

Sample size is tiny so hard to extrapolate firm numbers, but the Paolo/Bane combo seems to be the offense’s focus right now and it’s not off to a great start.

If the opposite approach is current Tyus, I can't blame him lol. Ideally we have both.

Sorry should have specified. That only applies to players on rookie contracts. Once your a vet, it doesnt matter! That veteran leadership and exp makes up for being a defensive cone :)

I think AB gets the start the next time Suggs or Bane are out

Eh, this is most coaches. It's easy for fans to say bench a FA signing two games into a regular season when they've presumably agreed upon a place because of a role they were promised. Of course they're going to get more leeway. Although I think you've already seen Tyus straight up not played as much some games or coach rolling with Black (even Jase that one game).

Franz/Suggs/Paolo/Tristan (even if injuries helped)/Black have pretty much gotten regular rotation minutes since their rookie seasons. Only person that haven't is Jett and Jase, although only because we have a guard glut now.

Tyus is an absolute liability on Defense....i have yet to see someone not just shoot right over the top of him.....and he's playing matador defense

He will find time on the floor.....its Mosley. Same reason AB plays so much. Mosley doesnt give a damn if you can score just as long as you try on defense. Which is a flawed tactic but it is what it is.

I like Penda already.

I would think that defenses are focused on stopping the Paolo/Bane two-man game which is easier to do right now as Paolo and Bane are still learning how and when the other wants the ball. Compound this with Bane being in a mini-slump and there you go. Franz is a relief valve and as one of the leagues best cutters has a simpler role.

Something to watch is JI vs Goga for backup center minutes.

We started the second quarter with JI/Penda/TDS/Franz/Tyus and ended with JI/Paolo/Franz/Bane/AB.

Second half they ran JI at power forward again.

His offensive game is so bad you have to play him as a big and a subplot from the last two seasons is us trying to figure it out.
