Friday 10/31 NBA Game Thread - NBA Cup Group Play

Boo you guys it's a super spooky 8 game Halloween Friday and the first night of NBA Cup Group Play and there's a doubleheader on Prime and I think this is probably a run-on sentence

- Maxey and the 4-0 Sixers host Brown and the Celtics on Prime (Group East B)
- Lakers visit Grizzlies on Prime with Reaves and Morant both coming off game winning shots (West B)
- Giddey and the Bulls go for their first 5-0 start since 1996-97 as they host Brunson and the Knicks (East C)
- Nuggets host Blazers - Jokic can become the first player ever to open a season with 5 straight triple-doubles (West C)

Knicks Bulls should be interesting.

Too many people celebrating the Bulls IMO, it is just 4 games guys, I believe they have top defense in a league, but they still allow crazy amount of points in a paint, just like any team that starts Vucevic would, their opponents just shot horribly from 3. Which you might argue is Bulls defense, but I would bet on Bulls getting a bit lucky, they wont have best defense in a league, I am super happy any time Bulls win, they are probably my fandom team now after Spurs, but this is just bad team that won 4 games, you won't convince me otherwise. WIth that said, go Bulls.

Cavs are without Garland, Mitchell, Allen, Strus, and Merrill.

Being down 4 starters is rough, we'll see what Mobley and company can do. I assume it'll be a Raptors win though.

You could maybe argue it's good defense, except that Bulls opponents so far are shooting 27% on wide open 3s. It's pretty easy to win games when your opponents brick wide open shots. :lol:

Indiana's court looks ridiculous. Nothing more than a distraction to those watching. I realize it's for the tourney but doesn't mean it doesn't look stupid.

Jaylen Brown so underrated. People thought Boston would fold, Brown said not so fast.

Would not shock me if Boston makes the playoffs this year.

And the offense become super stagnant when he's on the floor. He can still score but should be used mostly as a decoy not the go-to-guy.
