It’s also very hard to see the Jays losing consecutive games at home, including 3 out of 4. We’re too good of a home team for that to happen.
Jays in 7
(Mad Max Masterclass incoming)
Problem is the pitching matchup. Max has been serviceable but he's way too homer happy and could have us in a hole before we can even react or pull him. And Dodgers all hands on deck means we see Glasnow, Snell and Ohtani and probably even Yamamoto if they get desperate. We have our pen and likely Bieber and Yesavage but the Dodgers easily have the pitching edge in the matchup.
Sigh I got a real bad feeling about this game. Would be such a Toronto thing to do to have the biggest heartbreak after a 3-2 series lead.
I really thought we were coming back in the 9th inning man. Just terrible luck. Barger comes within a few feet of a homer to tie it. Gimenez has a xBA of .700 on that looper. The double play to end the game with Springer on deck.
I guess I'll stop dooming and sleep now. But it's been a depressing last couple of hours
