On the positive side, we actually put together a whole half a good basketball tonight. It hasn’t been consecutive quarters until tonight. Unfortunately, they were awful in the first half and did put themselves into too deep a hole to come out of.
I'm apart of a Knicks podcast! You Should check it out!

Regular seasons wins do matter though. Like I don’t want to lose out on home court cuz this coach wants to see if Brunson, Clarkson, deuce, hart, yabu line ups work.
But weren't we eliminated from the playoffs the last 4 times in series where they home court advantage? Not saying that I agree with some of the lineups combinations but the Knicks were eliminated by lower seeded Hawks, Heat and Pacers 2x.
We spent all year running the same lineup out there last year and it felt like we just threw a hail mary in the ECF playing lineups that had barely played together. I'd rather throw random stuff out here early in the season and not out of desperation in the postseason.
You’re totally right that having home court doesn’t guarantee anything but I’d still rather have it. Usually teams do play better at home than on the road. How many games are you willing to lose to check this stuff out?
I don't have a number of games that i'm willing to sacrifice and i'm not even sure shortening the rotation would fix the teams issues right now but i'm willing to be experimental up until at least December 15th when more guys become trade eligible.
No one on the bench has really stood out so I think they need to take the first few months to see who really is a keeper and then take the opportunity between December 15th and the trade deadline to address some of the roster issues.

We only won the 3rd quarter. Our offense was okay but we couldn't stop anyone on D. Giddy and Dosunmu made our two best wing defenders look like Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony Towns.

Sorry but this jokester had the entire summer to get his finger fixed and could’ve just gotten surgery prior to tipoff and came back later in the season
But he said no and he wants to come to camp with a messed up shooting hand. Can barely dribble, shoots even worse than he already did which was already bad. Then he has the bad back and can’t push in transition as a one man break. Even if he does he can’t finish with that messed up hand.
It’s just selfish. Go take some damn time and get your body right. What are we doing? Just gonna play you 20 minutes as a board collector while you kill our offense and defense?

Hard to win when both of your "stars" are liabilities on defense and are dont really play off each other well on offense. Sure kat helps with spacing for kat. But that about all the cohesion we see from them.
Towns was a great post player in college. We hardly ever feed it into him there. He’s also a pretty good passer for a big man but we don’t seem to be utilizing that skill.
Defensively, I have no answers.

I don't think we have a "How many games will the Knicks win regular season 2025-26" up yet. Is it time for one?

Currently we are a lottery team. They better focus on the here and now or they may not even need to worry about seeding. Don’t want this to be like the kemba Walker regression season
Well atleast we own that pick

Unfortunately he’s a bit of a garbage contract now unless we take back an even longer one in a trade.
He only has one year left after this and then it’s a team option but at the rate he’s going he will either be unplayable or retired within that time period. So it’s a matter of a team really wanted to dump a terrible contract on a productive player with longer years than Hart.

And I'm okay with that. I would rather explore now, as opposed to randomly throwing in Landry Shamet and Delon Wright onto the floor in the playoffs against the Pacers and telling them to figure it out then.
Even Thibs took 20 games to figure out he had to bench Fournier's ass.
How many more games are you willing to lose to keep playing around with line ups?

This is very fair.
I’ll go even further and say as long as the team is in playoff contention, experiment till your hearts contents. Only thing I care about is a championship so if you need up until March to get the final tweaks, do it

We've been through this a lot in the past: management puts together a team they have really high expectations of --> team fails to meet expectations --> hire new coach to meet expectations --> coach tries to implement better system --> team not good enough to execute it --> players & coaches blame each other --> everybody gets fired. Rinse and repeat.

Maybe if Brown begins to play the starting unit 40 minutes a game and somehow gets a healthy Hart, he could reach the same success as Thibs.

Deuce was pretty awful. brunson's defense was terrible and he made too many selfish plays down the stretch (didn't pass to OG who was wide open after hitting back to back 3s from the same spot)
That was the mistake Brown did. Duece can't cover big pgs guards and JB definitely can't. So we had 3 bad defenders out there. Closing lineup against this team should've been
Mitch
Towns
OG
Bridges
Brunson
Chicago would use the Hack-a-Mitch strategy at the end of the game.

I thought the key to winning was to play more of the bench like the Pacers do. We played 11 guys so it should have been an easy win with everybody well rested.

Re: PG: Knicks gored by Bulls
Im not gonna blame Mike Brown for this one
After every loss thus far, he has spoken very clearly on what happens in the game
I feel like there has to be something going on psychologically/internally within the team IMO that has nothing to do with the coaching

Giddy and Dosumu carved us up going to the rim. So Brown installed the anti-Thibs defense?
