If I were a Knicks fan watching the game tonight, I'd have been relieved when Ayo passed it.

Ayo is an assassin. He's going to be one of those savvy veterans in the future. It would be cool if he'll end up like those one franchise players like Sonic's Nate McMillan, or Heat's Haslem.

And the numbers are now starting to back it up too.

5 games in and we're ranked:
#6 ORTG
#6 DRTG
#6 NRTG
#5 EFG%
#4 TS%
#8 Pace <- we don't even lead the league like we did last year

And doing this against the better teams in the league, the schedule hasn't been a cupcake at all.

I don't see anything that's out of the ordinary. Everything about the way this team plays feels sustainable. The passing is crisp, execution flawless, everyone touching the ball, defending, rotating, with different players stepping up on a nightly basis. We're not relying on spamming 3s (#19 in 3PA this season), though some players have been more hot than usual (Giddey, Vuc).

Many people in this board hate him should apologize to Vuc

He may be defensive weakness and not elite as Jokic, but he is very professional and consistent in last 10 seasons

Jrue Holiday Jr

Holiday was my Ayo's future comp his rookie year.

He looks the part of guys that can have late career individual success like Jrue and Kyle Lowry.

Nobody owes him an apology. He's off to a good start in 5 games. The trade is still bad and he's been a disappointment during his Bulls tenure.

After that game, we jumped up to 5th in Offense eff, while also staying at 6th in Defense eff. All without Coby and Zach

Maybe you're right, but I still would be in favor of trying to find a better defensive center. Whether that center replaces Vuc or if it's a center that splits time with him.

We ended up getting giddy who was drafted in that draft we traded out for vuc so it kinda worked out in the end!

Who knows, maybe Noa will be able to cover for Vuc’s defensive lapses. Noa may end up being the perfect compliment to Vuc defensively. Imagine Matas and Noa roaming the paint together.

Giddey with clutch rebounds to close the fourth. The fact that he gets up higher than most guards and wings to secure crucial boards is quite a luxury.

Ayo alone off the bench tonight: 22 points

Huerter + Smith duo off the bench tonight: 22 points

The Knicks ENTIRE bench tonight, total: ...21 points

One little thing-I love Jones but he passes on A LOT of 3's. Is he that bad a shooter?

When is it time to start discussing a two year extension for Nikola Vucevic?

Even if we get into a funk at some point, we should get a top 6 seed unless it goes off the rails. That's pretty good considering the the past few years of play-in being the ceiling.

We're a good team I think. Been a while since you can say that. Fun to watch too.

It's not that they just winning, it's the way they do it. It's fun to watch honestly and what's crazy, by stats it's pretty balanced. Bulls bench again threatening 50 points in a game, this time got over it with 53.

Also people try to be smart a#$ saying bulls lucky other teams played or shot 3 badly...

Well Knicks played and shot well. Bulls still by 10

Its really the polar opposite of the Lavine / Derozan Bulls. That team just wasn't a lot of fun to watch due to how they played. This team is aesthetically pleasing to watch.
