Dodgers biggest weakness in the bullpen is about to be nullified with all hands on deck on its starters
Potentially nullified - it does bring in a new variable of taking starters out of the routine and putting them in relief on "throw" days, which sometimes causes an issue.
Ohtani is on short rest, Glasnow on back to back days, Snell and his "bad luck" loser mentality. If may work out beautifully for the Dodgers, but there is enough disruption from routine for all of them, that it is possible that one of them really struggles. And when (if) that happens we have to jump on that opportunity and string things effectively that inning.
I dont think Ohtani or Glasnow pitched all that great this series. Ohtani especially left plently of pitches up and his fastball velo was more on the 97 side than the 100+ side. Im worried about the Dodgers bats getting to Max tn. I truly wonder how long hes gonna be in for? 1 time through? Play it by ear? Either way id probably do some sorta map of
Max 2-3 innings
Varland
Fluharty
Dominguez
Yesavage
Bassitt
Hoffman
Could maybe fit Bieber in somewhere early as well depending on how Max is looking tonight. I dont see Fisher/Lauer/Little pitching unless we go extras and even then more likely to see Gausman as first arm in extras anyways. Hoffman can go 2 innings tonight as well so maybe we dont see Trey.
