Since he came back last year he's been basically letting people know that they zapped his enthusiasm because of their agenda against him.

I mean, he’s also already made his generational wealth. He doesn’t have to try anymore at this point in his young life. Once his contract ends, he can just get away from it all and live off that wealth for the rest of his life doing whatever he wants.

This is not a good look for the supposed leader of the team. Idk if hes trying to send a message to staff or front office, but going public like this isnt the way. The writing has been on the wall for Ja asking for a trade in quite some time.

Yeah someone like an all-nba second teamer that plays hard every night and on a per 36 minute basis is the same player he's always been.

Why wouldn't I add this to my team that's obviously playing with fools gold right now? Should I wait for them to come back down to earth and sell low or something?

Outside of the fact that he's super injury prone, you're conveniently leaving out the fact that he's a headcase and not a leader.

If Chicago had vets or infrastructure (like a Miami or Houston) to reign Ja in, I could maybe understand the sentiment.

From what I've seen, Chicago has been rudderless for a while and it feels like bringing in a player like Ja could lead to a combustible situation due to his lack of maturity.

No risk no reward I suppose, but I wouldnt want him on the Raptors for all the reasons mentioned above.

I don't know who Ja Morant is. I've never shared a locker room with him to be making comments like "headcase". Which member of the Grizzlies staff are you? Which Grizzlies player are you? How do you know Ja to be making that comment?

What I see on the court, when he's locked in his energy is infectious and his team and the stadium rocks with it.

Chicago has a strong people manager in Billy Donovan that has worked with a variety of personalities and gotten the most out of them, Ja is nothing special in that area. I have no doubt he'd fit right in with the youngsters on this team who all play hard and want to win.

Injuries? Have you seen today's NBA? Every player is injury prone. That's not an excuse anymore. But yeah, have fun with this 7th seed perennial mediocre team as the roster is assembled. I'm sure Buzelis will have us in the second round one day, maybe, with the right matchups and injuries. I honestly think with the Bulls playing with the pace they played with, we have Buzelis and Vuc as our bigs, shooters like White and Huerter on his flank. Ja's rim pressure and speed he can play with in transition. That's a crazy team. We still got Ayo, PWill and Jones off the bench. I'm liking that team with Ja alot.

This team with Giddey at point looks like pure first round fodder potential. We need Ja, and we need to be buying low and selling high. Ja giving us one or two healthy runs, I really want to see what that team does.

Serious question, how many times has Memphis been close to making it out the first round? I know they play in the but still.

Until he blows it all...then everyone will suddenly have to feel bad for him for some reason.

Memphis where is the draft capital?

The Raptor assets are overvalued. RJ is about to become a free agent. IQ is just a chucker. Where are the draft picks?

Toxic players suck. They drag down the whole team.

Now we know it was intentional, as Ja was upset that the coaching staff didn't want to play him (according to him).

Writing was on the wall for Ja for a few years now. Change is probably best for all parties involved. Eventually, I assume several of the most talented from the 2019 draft class will switch teams.

Ja for Trea Young straight up... Who says no?

No way. Trae has his warts but at least he is on the court regularly, is consistent with his production (effecient or not), not headcase, and doesn't have a father that thinks he's a player on the team.

Ok, with the benefit of a fresh perspective in the morning ... Ja reminds me a bit of Kuminga. We dealt with those same me-first issues. But JK showed up this year with an improved mindset and newfound maturity. His game took a leap forward. He is playing so much better now and within the team concept. But the Warriors have vets who spent time mentoring him. I don't know Ja well. I will defer to Grizz fans about whether he is capable of following a similar path. He has elite gifts in terms of talent. But he will never hit his ceiling until he becomes a role model and a winner.

Ja for Jalen Green? I am just thinking out loud. It is kind of hard to find trade packages. Ja's trade value is not on the superstar level even though he thinks he is one.

My first thought is Houston. Established stars and culture, tough coach, team on the rise, he's coming into a competitive environment, doesn't have to be/get to be 'the man'. That's something he has to grow to accept. But if he continues to be me-Ja... Well he's seeing where that is leading to right now.

Who would Houston give that could match salary? Jabari duplicates what JJJ provides. FVV + picks? FVV + Reed?

Ja is not a PG or a leader. Guarantee you that he would be much happier averaging 30 PPG in a losing effort.

Just checked and FVV can't be traded until December, so at that time let's say something like FVV, Tari, Reed? Plus whatever sweeteners they work out.
