No way Randle's hero and Man Crush Varsho should be hitting 5th tonight, based on his atrocious hitting numbers since Game 2 against the Yankees in the ALDS. I do no care about his supposed "bad luck" swinging at balls out of the strike zone. He sucks right now at the plate. If this team had any quality production from your Number 5 hitter- this team could have won the 18 inning Game in LA, and yesterday's game also (based on the number of men Varsho left on base).
Like I mentioned earlier my lineup is Springer at 1, Vlad at 2, Bichette at 3, Barger at 4, Kirk at 5, Lukes at 6, Clement at 7, Varsho at 8, and Gimenez at 9. Regardless, get both Varsho and Lukes out of the top 5 in the final game of this season for once.
Why would you bat Varsho 8 and willingly give the Dodgers a LHB window with him and Gimenez to exploit with Snell/other LHP.
I appreciate your misguided hate for one of our best players but it should probably be tempered by some kind of actual sense as well
Misguided hate? I hate that fact your hero has sucked at the plate since Game 2 of the ALDS against New York. However, given how much of a Varsho Fan Boy you are- you believe he is perfectly fine hitting 5th, and choking like a dog with men on base on a regular basis. Swinging like a fool at balls out of the Strike Zone, which you think is "bad luck". No bad luck. This is how he has always been. Any quality production from a typical Number 5 hitter, and the Jays win yesterday and possibly the 18 Inning game in LA.
Varsho will hit the occasional home run, which he can do hitting in the bottom of the order. You do not want him hitting 8th, fine put him at 7. But get both Lukes and Varsho put of the Top 5 for once. I just want to win, and Varsho hitting 5th with his awful hitting numbers on the tweet I posted, needs to be in the bottom of the order. Hopefully Schneider learns from Dave Roberts and makes that move.
