I'd do the Morant trade. Our backcourt would be uber small but this is the scenario we would be in if we had gone in for Donovan.

KAT/Hart/Dadiet for Ja/Aldama. I like the upside in Aldama in the trade more than Ja. Solid 7 foot big man that can play both ends.

It’s an interesting idea.

There’s negatives that come with it & I wish Ja had a more consistent jumpshot but the potential positives could fix a lot of our issues.

I’m a fan of Aldama as well.

Don't mind any of that. That's wishful thinking and cope from a guy that is a known shill for that franchise.

Also, it's only been 5 games. Last season we lost the first 4 out of the first 7 games, including getting blown out by the Celtics on opening night.

Sham and wingo are knocking on deaths door and we have unreasonable posters asking for patience.

nobody was talking about "don't jump to conclusions" after the first 2 games. everybody was declaring that mike brown's offense had revolutionized the knicks and thank god we moved on from thibs and all that sh*t. now that it looks bad it's "we need to have patience." y'all not fooling anyone.

Is it fair to say over the 5 game sample size from the ECF and last nights game that Mitch starting at the 5 does not fix the teams defensive issues? :)

You can't get too high, you can't get too low. It will mostly depend how the Knicks do in the playoffs.

The fact still remains however that Mitch, OG and Mikal have not been able to overcome the defensive deficiencies of KAT and JB. Thibs was a defensive guru. Brown is also known as a defensive first coach yet here we are still not able to guard simple pick and rolls, slips or backdoors. We need to come to terms that JB and KAT will not improve and just don't have the lateral quickness to stay in front of their man. We need them to get to at least average level on D or we need the other 3 guys out there with them be able to guard their own man and then some. I just don't think the latter is sustainable so IMO one of JB or KAT must go.

Brunson been skating by for a bit because of his performance in the playoffs a couple years ago but his seat is starting to warm up. I’ve been seeing a few Knick fam on here giving him a little smoke when before there was none.

Early this year it’s evident he has very nasty habits with iso ball, damn near identical to Melo but he’s more likable. I say all that to say Brunson will probably never get traded but……he hasn’t won a title so all options should be on the table if the goal is about a title. Not about feelings because some fans like a player more than another, but a championship.
You sound like me last year when I said Brunson played selfish ball. Everybody jumped on me then. He looks for himself first even when there are definitely better shots and better shots that voukd be created. That's who he is.

We have too much talent and too good of a coach for us to crash.
Brown isn’t who I wanted and I’m not sure how far we can go with him.
But we can still be a very good team, maybe take the East.
I hope we figure it out and wouldn’t mind a trade but nothing big yet. Give Brown and Co. Some time.

The key is playing more bench. But you have to have a bench first.

So far, aparently we only have scrubs as reserves.. Even Hart and Deuce are playing poorly.

so far, every sub besides Kolek is shooting below 40%. insane
You can't randomly put guys whi are all about routines in the game and say 'go.'

So how about now? From now on we can make judgments, deal? If they go on a 5 game winning streak, will it count as the revolution?

Yeah, those Knicks pics are probably mainly in the 20s. The Nets will draft Dadiet 5 times. Nothing to see there.

it helps to not have kat at center but probably nothing can totally fix kat and brunson on the court at the same time.

The Josh Hart minutes are really bad. You cannot play an unproductive player for "hustle". And then Mike Brown did the Thibs thing randomly and had both Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson on the floor together. You can't put two guys on the floor who can't score at the same time in today's NBA. I'm sure Mike will fix the rotation eventually, but this experimentation hurts in the short term. He did warn us that the first 10 games will tell him who should play so here we are.
