Even if they come back and win it years later, this choke will sting for years, maybe even decades. 4-3 going into the 9th.

On the bright side....

We gained an ace from this post-season.

We've been blessed with Trey Yesavage for years to come.

We could have easily won this series with a smarter FO.

No, at work watching. But taking heartbreaking loses in stride isn't really my strong suit

Honestly, aside from Yamamoto, Dodgers were lucky to win. Overrated team.

Absolute devastation. To think just over an hour ago we were two outs away from winning it all then Hoffman gives up a HR to arguably the worst hitter in the lineup...and then we still had a great chance with the bases loaded and 1 out in the bottom half. Varsho choke, Ernie smokes a ball deep to left where the outfielders collide yet Pages holds on, Dominguez escapes a jam...then another HR given up by our pitchers and we strand Vladdy at 3rd with 1 out after a beautiful AB and swing.

I am crushed. This very well could have been the only chance in my lifetime to see the Jays win it all. And they blew it late after being the comeback kids all season long.

My only chance in my Adult Life probably. Grateful for the Back to Back in 1992 and 1993. Time after time this offense could not get that one additional run when it needed to. Not even a Sac Fly in the 9th. Maybe get a CF who can actually hit in 2026.

That was an incredible run from a team that massively outplayed their relative abilities. What guys like Barger, Clement did stepping up as huge contributors was crazy. Lauer holding it down when our SP was struggling. Springer having a silver slugger type breakout at his age. Vladdy becoming a 21st century Mr October. So many great stories coming from this team and year.

But ultimately, and somewhat unfairly, when you think about them it'll come back around to this historic loss.

And baseball is such a luck-based sport in some respects so it'll be so difficult to make it back here.
