In the end, that was the deciding factor. This offense simply did not get it done.

We had plenty of the opportunities to expand the lead or flat out win the game, and couldn't get it done. So many runner left on base, how many did Varsho alone leave on base tonight and this series.

This one stings cause we were better team overall, and should have won, but just like for whatever reason baseball gods didn't want us to take it. #9 hitter Rojas hit a HR in the 9th? You kidding me, yet the next batter othani he gets out!

I was scorebaord watching, Vlad gets a double, his only hit in the game for the tying run with no one out, and for some reason, I knew we just weren't going to cash him in. Our best hitter actually delivered in a high stakes moment but it wasn't enough because it simply wasn't a home run.

Yes, John Schneider has the intelligence matching his look - a clown. He has no feel for the game - and what's at stake. It's the Berrios pull all over again.

Berrios is someone I don't remember seeing in any of panning of the bench at all during the WS.

The Jays were the better team in at least 5 of the 7 games. Absolutely heartbreaking to lose this series, especially when they were two outs away. Giving up a home run to Miguel Rojas is inexcusable.

I think there is a path to contention next season, even if it's WC contention, but a chance to win the World Series probably isn't happening again any time soon. These are rare and require a lot of things to break right. This will sting for a long time.

Very disappointed in Varsho.

Players left on base is called the choking stat. Jays were 27th in the league on LOB. So they were literally asking to choke with each one stranded

It's also the "get on base" stat. You know what teams are great in this area? The ones who don't get on base.

jays got on base, they just didnt get to homebase lol. Dodgers were 16th in LOB, it was just a matter of time playing with fire.

Yeah I'm not going to put this one on the pitchers. The HR's were limited to solo shots, nobody really blew up.

The offense had a man on base literally every inning other than the 10th and had 31 LOB.

Yesavage is not commanding his fastball. His minor league walk rate is subpar - the league is going to adjust to laying off that splitter.

damn man saying we got another manoah/bowden?

He needs to improve his game as the league adjusts to him. I don't see Manoah's big ego in him yet so I believe in Yesavage

Where’s Randle? Let’s see how he defends his man love, Varsho this time. I’m sure he will drop some obscure advanced stat to tell us how great Varsho is.

Such a punch to the gut.

It took 32 years to get back and it might take that again. Unbelievable that we didn't capitalize on the bases being loaded in the 9th.

Problem was we started putting all our "D" guys, Straw, IKF, Varsho is already D on no offense guy, Gimi too... Was going to be tough to string hits, we'd have to hit an HR.

Disappointing ending given all the late chances, but this was the most fun I had following a sport team's season in a long while.

Based loaded with 1 out in the bottom of the 9th has a winning probability of 83% in a vacuum.

But Varsho's bat is a vacuum

Mark Carney jinxed the Oilers and couldn't wait to repeat it with the Blue Jays. Politicians need to stay away from sports teams until they win.

Varsho's xWrBBffTrT factor was off the charts in this game.

literally a non-factor

Pages was more productive than Lukes

Hoping this team can upgrade in both CF and LF, over both Lukes and Varsho for 2026. Rogers made plenty of money. Go sign Bellinger to be your everyday Centre Fielder, and acquire another power bat for LF.

I don't see this core getting back here tbh, you just don't recover from a loss like this. It would be one thing if we got swept or lost in 5, quite another to have it in your grasp in the 9th and blow it.

Remember the Texas Rangers in 2011? That was a legit great team that had a similar meltdown in Game 6 in the 9th inning, then meekly went out in Game 7. They regressed and became the Jays punching bag in 15 and 16 before eventually winning it all in 2023 with a completely different team.
