Silver and the NBA can make all the commercials they want trying to brainwash fans into thinking this cup is a great idea but most know this is dumb and no one cares for it.
The cup games though really are only meant to be regular season games, it only introduces that one extra game for the "winners" and that is all that really should theoretically be marketed. It is absolutely fine by me. I never found much hemming and hawing about it honestly. If people didn't want to view it any different it is just simply a regular season game in the end.
