As the season progress and the Bulls are doing well, do they even consider trading Coby White, (who has been out thus far? Are they more interested in winning now? I still think Coby is the best we can reasonably do, and it seems kinda serendipitous given that White is who we should have drafted instead of Culver.

2. Ant is 24 and will soon enter his prime. Jaden is 25, and just about to enter his, Naz is 26, Joan 19, and TSJ is 25. If this is a young core to build around with Randle as the experienced high scoring vet the window is wide open.

Whatever we do need to make a move sooner then later.
Morant only if they include picks and still probably not.
This is questionable at best. Ja has never played next to a superstar. His best teammates at any given time have been JJJ or Bane. Putting Ja with Ant would create a significant shift in the gravity both players experience. It would lead to many more open shots and could change the way Ja scores. While I admit the move would not be without risk, I am not willing enough to discard the reward potential to the extent of demanding picks as well as the best player in the deal. His contract is not that bad or that long.
He's a POS and a cancer. We immediately become a losing team if we acquire his services.

Sounds like you know Ja personally and he slept with your wife and stole your lunch money.
Despite all Morant’s flaws - Wolves don’t have assets to pry him away from Grizzlies and beat other teams offers for Ja. I mean without gutting the team. Then it becomes a question of why gut the team for a questionable person in Morant and questionable fit with Edwards.

Nobody will make an offer of anything other than garbage for Ja. Garbage in/garbage out.

He can leave as a FA, and the bulls get nothing. From what I read he may not be in their long-term plans. Probable they would like to get something out him.

They could also sign and trade him or pay him and then move him as a salary raiser. I agree that they don’t want to lose him for nothing, it just isn’t as simple as trade him now or lose him.

Most reports are saying its likely they just trade him during the season.
He wants north of 30M/year. There is basically no chance the Bulls sign him to that with the intent of trading him later.

I can't.
I think they're basically the exact same guy. But I think there is a good chance Sexton comes at 10M+ less per year.

White is bigger, maybe better defender, I think Sexton is quicker, better shooter, better handle. Both more combo than point, but I think Sexton is closer than White.

Is there an available PG that is proven in playoff play though? Sexton looked awful against the wolves and he has not played a single playoff game and might be unplayable because of his defense. White was meh in playoffs but that was years ago.

Re: Trade Talk (Part 18): Early Season Panic Edition
I think Pelicans (Dumars) will be getting desperate real soon. Herbert Jones looks tired of being on that team. Jones+Looney is same money as Naz.. trading for defense over offense for the playoffs.
Maybe wolves get a pick or some swaps too since Dumars is an idiot.

Collin Sexton is one of the worst defensive players in the nba. C. White is average at best, but has shown improvement. C white has higher upside based upon a very well played 2nd half of 2024 when he had a defined role.

Yea I take White easily but I don’t want the wolves to pay him what he wants on his next contract. He looks more like a 18-21 million per season player similar to Norm Powell, Cam Johnson type contract.

White is actually pretty bad also. My understanding is that white showed his upside playing more as a shooting guard than a point guard. I guess the question is do you want defense or do you want offense? Because if you want both, you're giving up a heck of a lot more than what most people want to give up. And most teams aren't giving up point guards that do both.

Re: Trade Talk (Part 18): Early Season Panic Edition
White is a terrible defender with short arms and poor lateral quickness.
He has really good speed, but it’s all north-south.
I’m not surprised the Bulls are better without him and LaVine.

He is a bit intriguing though. There is a chance he turns into an All-Star caliber player.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
