He was always really good. Glad to see him thriving
Meanwhile that other guy we traded with him who some said was better than him is complete trash. Raptors paid him all that money and still don’t have a starting point guard

He's been significantly better than KAT. It's not even up for debate.
they are playing different roles
Randle HAS TO score on the Timberwolves. Edwards has missed half the games thus far
KAT is sharing shot attempts with OG and Mikal, each of them getting 12-14 shot attempts per game. Brunson is averaging 23 shot attempts per game.
KAT's field goal percentages could be a lot better, but they'll get back up to where they're supposed to be over the course of the season.
Also, it seems no one wants to give KAT credit on this, but while Randle averages 6.5 rpg, KAT is averaging more than double at 13.2 rpg
KAT also gets to the line more than Randle and is shooting 91% from the line on 7.3 attempts per game (career highs on both btw), something else no one wants to give credit to KAT for
KAT's blocking more shots than he has in the last 6 years, but I guess he won't get credit for that either!

Also, how Ran_le is performing while playing in the pressure-free forests of Minnesota with Bambi and Thumper watching isn't the same as playing in the basketball capital of the world.
He admitted the intensity of NY fans and media broke him mentally and emotionally......he's not built for the big stage and bright lights of NYC when the pressure is on. He could never do what KAT did for us in the playoffs.
Some guys are just not built for NY.
Leon put up a HOF performance with the KAT trade. October 2, 2024 should be made into a federal holiday.

It has nothing to do with roles. Randle is simply a much much better basketball player than Karl Anthony Bargnani. Randle was sharing the ball with OG, Brunson, Donte, iHart and was on his way to another ALL NBA season before his injury. He was also an All NBA player sharing the ball with a chucker RJ Maggette. Randle is a much better scorer, passer, defender. All KAT has on him is rebounding and being a better spot up shooter. He's just a tall shooting guard that an rebound.
It's not even up for debate who's the better player.
Randle: 26 PPG 7 RPG 6 APG on 56/43/82 splits. Super efficient.
Karl Anthony Bargnani: 20 PPG 13 RPG 3 APG on 40/36/90 splits. Very inefficient with awful defense.
There's no basketball reason why anyone would take Karl Bargnani over him unless you want to lose games.

My guy, Bargnani was never getting you THIRTEEN rebounds per game and you know that, come on
Also, you say "unless you want to lose games"
KAT LITERALLY WON US GAMES IN THE PLAYOFFS
KAT was a reason why we made it as far as we did in the ECF
We can go in circles about what Randle "could have done" hypothetically if he had stayed a Knick
The reality is that with Randle, he lost to a lower seeded Atlanta Hawks, and then two years later to a lower seeded Miami Heat. Randle's playoff numbers with the Knicks were considered among the worst in history.
Randle could not play in New York. He told you that man. Nothing was going to change that. He needed out.
No psychologist or sports doctor was going to fix him in New York. He was just not a fit for this environment and he had to leave.

No psychologist or sports doctor was going to fix him in New York. He was just not a fit for this environment and he had to leave.
The reality is that Randle played with one ankle that needed surgery in the playoffs. So of course his numbers won't be that efficient. Btw he did win us games on one ankle too.
We saw how Randle looked like when he was healthy in the playoffs this past season. He dominated against Draymond Green, Luka, Lebron. etc.
Randle did not say he could not play in New York. He wanted to stay here and win a chip. If you actually read the article he's literally talking about how he was very stressed when he fked up his shoulder and could not help out the team. That's where his mental struggles were. Because he was literally INJURED.
Karl Anthony Bargnani lost us the series against the Pacers. The Pacers were picking him apart and that's why we were forced to start Mitch. Why else do you think the coaches and players were extremely frustrated with his Karl Bargnani's defense?
Objectively, Randle is a much better player. It's just not up for debate. Sorry.

There is something really grimy about rooting for another teams player over your own. even if that player is better which in this case is not true. But even if it was loyalty to the team should supersede truth.
There is a code which someone isnt living by.
