It was 60% before this game lol. Way too small of a sample size to make any proclamations.

If he goes 0/3 2 more times from the 3, he’ll be under 30%. The real positive is that he’s willing to take open 3’s.

If you want to win games, there is no way he should be starting at the 5 yet. To me he is a perfect pairing with Mamu off the bench as he learns. I love his potential and he is doing very well for a rookie but he is no where close to as good as a healthy Yak. There is no need or even benefit I’d argue to forcing him into a starting role if everyone is healthy.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

CMB is playing like Draymond-lite out there as better offensive finisher but a lesser defensive anchor. CMB had some nice passes like the one to BI for layup. 3pt form is good. Just get reps being vocal on defence. If we keep winning, I see Poeltl coming off the bench

CMB can be a small 5 in today’s NBA, there aren’t many true 5 around the league.

He'll need plenty of BBIQ to be good at it, but he can match the reach and weight of guys like Horford and Dray.

CMB may not truly be a 5 but like Draymond end of day he’ll be there to end games I think. In theory Scottie can hopefully be consistent with shot blocking because he is exceptional at it when he’s focused. He has a great standing explosive two foot vertical and reach. Yak will be our Bogut/Cousins/Looney.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

CMB is good as a 5 against lanky perimeter oriented guys. Against the dudes who are around 7ft and aggressive on the glass, it's a tough assignment. Basically it comes down to how soft the other teams bigs are.

If they are going to kind of force start Jak when he comes back, it would be at least a smart idea to give CMB the start against teams where he can matchup with softer/perimeter bigs. He killed JJJ and Aldama yesterday, and Landale wasn't big or good enough to give him any problems.

I believe we did this quite a bit with Jonas/Serge. I would be happy with them splitting starts depending on matchups.

He has excellent hands, gets a lot of deflections, very quick feet, has lots of length, good awareness, and a soft touch around the basket.

He's a bit undersized and not sure if he will be a great rebounder, but if he can develop a consistent 3 point shot and become a good free throw shooter, he'll have a very long productive career.

We are actually in a new golden age of centers in my opinion:

Wemby, Jokic, Embiid, AD, Mobley, KAT, Gobert, Zubac, Sengun, Turners, Porzingis, Ayton, Sabonis, Vuc etc. so much talent at this position. I would say it's the most talented and deep roster at the 5 position that we've seen since the late 1990s and early 2000s.

CMB 8'11 reach, 245lbs ----- Allen 9'2 reach, 243lbs ------- Hartenstein 9'1 reach, 255lbs
Scottie 9'0 reach, 227lbs --- Mobley 9'0 reach, 215lbs ----- Holmgren 9'6 reach, 213lbs
Ingram 9'2 reach, 190lbs --- Strus 8'6 reach, 215lbs -------- SAG 8'8 reach, 200lbs
Barrett 8'7 reach, 214lbs --- Mitchell 8'1 reach, 210lbs ---- Wallace 8'5 reach, 205lbs
Quickley 8'3 reach, 185lbs - Garland 8'1 reach, 185lbs ---- Dort 8'4 reach, 220lbs

I don't think size would be that much a concern with cmb in the starting lineup.

I was told Derrick White was a top 15 player in the NBA though.

Would you trade CMB for Derrick White now?
