Caleb Wilson

Post#1 » by babyjax13 » Mon Nov 3, 2025 5:26 am

I am already a Caleb Wilson enjoyer. He moves like a star. His freethrow shooting is nice and I think he projects as a better shooter than Boozer. Good handle, nice court vision, can switch 1-5 and defend 3s and 4s really well. I think he will be the 4th pick in the draft at worst from what little I've seen (his hs tape was way harder to find than the other top guys) and I would NOT be surprised to see him displace Boozer as a top-3 draft pick. IMO, the top of this class looks AMAZING this year, and I am so excited to see which guys actually prove that they belong once the season starts.

I am very in already, if it is not clear.

Already can tell he'll be a tough one for me.

He's very explosive and can close space quickly, but he's a weird mover and he has a skillset that doesn't scream clear NBA role. Scored pretty exclusively off of bad defense, transition and clean up stuff vs BYU.

Interested to see how he develops throughout the year.

Yep Chris Bosh/Rasheed Wallace kind of player.

I'm excited this kid has the talent to put us back in tbe Nat'l championship conversation. I'm hoping he's a superstar. We haven't had this kind of talent in a while. :D

He just looks all-around fantastic. The size and athleticism combination combined with shot making potential, really good passing skills AND a high motor? Uff. Early season still but I see absolutely no reason why he shouldn't be firmly in the top 3 conversation.

I don't really see it. If nothing else, Wilson is just a really good passer which is huge to me. He also looks more dangerous with a live dribble (even though I don't see it as one of his primary strengths). And while we'll have to see how the season develops, I don't think Wilson will quite reach Jabari's shooting and (probably) defensive potential coming out of college.

Nah. AJ much better on ball.

I like CW better than Boozer though. Much more fluid and longer.

I like him but a lack of strength and ball handling will hold him back a bit. Jumper looks good especially that MJ turnaround.

Good passer but when he takes more than two dribbles I can't help but expect something bad to happen. He just seems out of control trying to drive unless the lane is wide open.

His passing looks elite.

I think his D will be too. His length plays and he is an absolute dog. His energy and hustle is all over the court. He also anticipates really well.

How? Lmao. Dybantsa can literally play 1-4. Wilson looked better than Peterson tho

Peterson archetype is a lot less valuable imo. I’m curious what Caleb’s wingspan is though. Right now he’s 2 on my BB

I’m hearing 7 foot wingspan. This may very well be the best freshman class of all time if this continues. Like a good 7-10 guys that could be in top 5 depending on how things shape up. Thank goodness NIL brought back the good players and we don’t have to watch the g league bs for prospects lol

He's way too soft to play the 5. He'd get bullied by everyone.

I like him but he might have to play the 3 early on.

I am getting to the point where I dont think it is a given that Peterson and Dybantsa are the guaranteed top 2. Wilson is incredible so far.

For me, it is but outside of that, I do think Boozer spot could be had
