They need someone to create for others, because nobody can't create anything, that's not Kyrie. You can't transform the worst offense in the league in good one with addition of Iso player alone.

And when talking about Kyrie, he will be out for a year, when he returns. You people honestly believe he will immediately be his best version? And then you have time restrictions, load management...

I've seen teams winning without a facilitator, so they don't really need Kyrie to play the traditional Point Guard role.
Look at Houston, the 3rd highest scoring team in the NBA despite no facilitator.
Any team with AD and Kyrie and great defense, will go far.

I don't believe you understand how bad Mavs roster is in creating for themselves or others. They have the worst offensive rtg for the reason. This team was built for Luka, who was the whole system. Now you have just bunch of role players, who can't create anything.

Rockets have Sengun, who can shoot and playmake. Mavs have Lively and Gafford who can't do either.

Rockets have Sengun and KD, while Mavs have AD and eventually Kyrie.
But I agree Houston have a better offense than Dallas, because Amen Thompson is very good at scoring off the dribble.
Dallas will be banking on their defense being good enough to compensate for not having the best offense in the West.

Something is not having the best offense, something completely different is having the worst offense, with or without Kyrie. Sengun is averaging 7.6 assists, AD 2.2.

January 17 = Mavs 106, Thunder 98
January 23 = Mavs 121, Thunder 115
And all of them were before they acquired AD.

It will be interesting to see how this team is playing once the centers are back. Like the last two games have been much better on offense, but lacking size inside. The first games were filled with silly turnovers.

They are better because the centers are out, Flagg/PJ as forwards with a center is better than AD at the 4 that kills all spacing and offensive creativity.

I agree with that one, but have the turnovers been because of that? My subjective impression when watching them is that they have not been in sync in the first few games. Like, just silly turnovers, not directly because of playing to centers. With that said, two centers have not looked, but nothing else has until lately

Mavs are -7.6 when he's playing. That's seriously bad. He's not in the best shape and he's simply not comfortable yet. They actually looked better in those games without AD, they just have some problems with injuries already, all 3 main centers.

The Mavs just put up only 99 points against the Pelican's 29th ranked defense. They were already two points behind the 29th ranked Wizards on offense and that doesn't look like it is going to improve, the Mavs are the only team the Wizards have beat so far this season. There have now been 16 games this season where a team has had an offensive rating below 101, 6 of those are by the Mavs. Jason Kidd is getting absolutely exposed as a coach without Luka. They didn't have half man half a season available but the Pelicans were missing Zion, DeJounte Murray, Jordan Poole, and Yves Missi. The Mavericks are now the bottom team in the West
