Why would any team offer something interesting for Ja Morant? Because they don't know him?. Because they have a good pschologist?. Or because they think they can cheat the Grizzlies? These threads don't make sense to me.

He definitely does not have negative value, his trade value is still there, no need for exaggeration. Thing is, most teams do not need PG, only PHO and ORL need one I would imagine, and Orlando also needs shooting more than anything, and Ja is not a shooter. I do not think there is a trade where MEM get fair value in return, if Ja really quits on them, they will have to take one of those deals anyway, but if not, they are not trading him.

Because Ja is good when he tries and he might have quit on his current team, which would mean they will try to trade him.

Only Minny, Orlando and Houston maybe would be interested. Other teams don’t want that kind of cancer on their team. Especially a regressing one at that.

Maturity and reliability are missing.

He's almost worthless because of that.

So much raw talent, and so many flaws.

He is already slowing down physically. Once that first major injury hits, he will be worth nothing.

He is destined for a few low level teams, or as a bench player for a few years on minimum with the usual suspect "high middle tier", "low top tier" teams like the Clippers.

Even then, his biggest current flaw is he is a head case. So that will rule him out of a number of the lower teams trying to build properly with their rooks/2nd year players.

His natural talent is stifled by his lack of being a reasonable and mature adult. Ja has clearly quit on the Grizzlies, and his demeanor is only tanking his value, which is also bad for him (if he wants out).

At this point, as a fan, I'd take near anything for him to be gone. Send him to BK for Porter Jr and a pick or two. Done and done.

I hear the off-court issues are really alarming and they've quietly tried trading him for the past couple of seasons but nobody wants anything to do with him so if he's traded it'll be to a small market team the league doesn't care about for a package that will shock people with how weak it is. Getting him out of Memphis for on and off court reasons is imperative though.

A team cannot have a starting back court of a turnstile and a traffic cone and be labeled a contender. Teams would feast on those guys and score at will.

To BKN: Morant

To 76ers: MPJ/Clarke

To Memphis: George/McCain/2x Knicks 1sts (via Nets)

Throw around some filler - maybe a young player from Nets to Grizzlies - maybe 76ers owe a 1st to Grizzlies.

Nets hope Morant can save his career as start of their rebuild. Offseason 2026 Nets are still all-in on free agent joining Morant.

76ers turn George into MPJ/Clarke at cost of McCain.

Memphis takes on George to maximize positive return for tarnished Morant.

I have to disagree. You have a injury prone PG with off the court issues, bad attitude, lack of leadership, making star player level money that can't shoot, can't play defense, and looks like his athleticism is already declining in his mid 20s. I don't think many teams are chomping at the bit to trade assets for that

The Heat have one of the better offenses in the league this year based on a new scheme where they go fast and run far and away the least pick and rolls in the league.

Taylor Jenkins tried to run a similar scheme last year. Ja didn’t like it and got him fired. Now Ja’s fighting with the new coaches even more and having the worst season of his career putting up worse numbers than any of the Heat’s 10 rotation players. Ja to the Heat is a non-starter.

Just don't like giving away all that size. Also not sure if Ware is needed in the trade with Edy in Memphis.

All GMs think they can fix a broken player, especially one with talent.

He's Marbury 2.0 and can't even stay healthy. not a good shooter, not a good defender and payed max money. He's pretty much a negative asset on that salary, if we consider his constant drama, his lack of durability and lack of leadership

He does have commercial value to a franchise, puts butts in the seats, sells jersies etc. but a team with Ja on max money as it's best player is never winning anything

Nets are not in any position where they can give away picks. I think it is a bad move for them.
