Looks like more than 30 pounds to me. First picture is around 275-280, second is around 325-330

No question what so ever that Jokic this year and last has gotten himself into a less than optimal shape and without a doubt it's going to hurt him come 4th quarters and it will somewhat limit his defense.

He really doesn't have a history of doing this to a large extent. He really seems to need to make it a goal. Working out more isn't going to cut it. That said...obviously this isn't killing him either.

Eh, i think that ship has sailed. He is over 30 and was never an athletic freak. Losing some weight might make him tire less buy apart from that it would not improve his game all that much.

A lot of his defensive issues are more of him being a coward to contest shots because he fears, often rightly, that if he gets too many fouls his team will tank and when he gets back the game is out of reach.

He does seem overweight and should shed some pounds. My guess is he will throughout the season. However, it doesn't seem to affect his performances, longevity is another thing though...

Thats more of a byproduct of the defensive system Adelman used. They played a lot of zone with Jokic in drop coverage to pack the paint. Funnelled the ball more on the perimeter. I actually think Jokic played a lot better on defense in the postseason then in the regular season last season

OP is critical of Jokic's weight. Everyone agrees he's gained back a lot of the weight he lost before his championship season. And we have people posting how nobody is ever critical...in a thread that's critical and with near universal agreement?
