Boozer lived in DC and his best friend was murdered which is why his father took there entire family up to Alaska.... I don't know how much they'd wanna deal with that trauma familialy.....

Damn, I had no idea. Wouldn't want to put the kid through any kind of additional trauma. That sucks because Cam would be such a perfect fit with Sarr.

Might be moot because now, after beating Utah, the Suns have decided they also want to beat the Spurs. #6 pick, we coming for you.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

I actually like this idea.

Cayden Boozer

NBA DRAFT ROOM: Currently Mocked pick #30 (Thunder/our pick)

PG – Duke – HT: 6-4 – WT: 205 – WING: NA – Fr – Cayden is not as heralded as his twin brother but he’s a 5-star talent with legit first round potential. He’s got great size and feel for the game and knows how to make the right play. Will have to shoot the 3-ball better.

Draft Notes:
Like his twin brother Cameron, Cayden is a high level prospect from the 2025 recruiting class. He’s a strong, well-built combo guard with an advanced skill level. He’s a tough driver and creative finisher who uses his frame well and can finish through contact. Isn’t a big time above the rim player at this stage but is a crafty scorer, a high level passer and a great decision maker on the court. He has a big impact on the game even when not scoring. A pesky defender who can guard up and down the line up. Moves his feet well to stay in front of ball handlers and has very quick hands. Is like a coach on the floor and makes great decisions with the ball.

If we get Cam with our top pick, I would like to keep the twins together. Ultimately, we need to draft a lead guard who can run the offense and another skilled big/PF who can rebound.

Either scenario... Peterson and Steinback or the Boozer twins would be pretty ideal.

Carlos Boozer grew up in Juneau, Alaska. I vacationed there in September. Boozer and Trajan Langdon, the (Anchorage) Alaskan Assassin, both were high-level Duke recruits. I also visited Anchorage, my birthplace.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Koa Peat on Arizona... :o

But man does Florida look good again this year!

Also Maryland looks like they might have a team this year, although Coppin State is pretty terrible.

I watched some of the UNC game. Caleb looks a little odd the way he moves around the court, like he's half asleep or drunk lol.

He had 4 dunks in the first 5 minutes. No competition tonight. Nice form on his foul shots.

I know Mikel Brown Jr can shoot. I have questions about his defense and ability to get to the rim and finish. Got some good early returns on the latter issue, against weak competition obviously.

SUPERBALLMAN wrote:If we can come out of this draft with Peterson, Steinback, and Facorat, that would be a GREAT draft! A++!

With our tanking pick plus the Suns swap we have a legit shot at Peterson.

Steinback and Facorat are later 1st to 2nd round tiered and with our late 1st and multiple 2nds we should be able to consolidate up to get them. Plus the possibility of dealing any or all of Kispert, Mids, CJ and bringing back a pick, like we did with Gafford to draft Kyshawn.. Or possibly adding a pick in a Marcus Smart type of move like we did to draft Will Riley.

After the top pick, I think it's always a better idea to just settle on a tiering out of guys you'd be interested in within the 20th-40th zone, rather than fixating on any one prospect. We rarely ever draft the single individual guys are obsessing on because there are typically 10-20 guys potentially fitting the target zone. How many people had Riley as our pick w/the latter first rounder? I think I saw 1 reference maybe out of like 50,000 posts last winter and spring about Riley.

I've always wanted guys that know their stuff to just present their 5-10 guys they'd want, rather than fixate on a guy because its just so much more informative and helpful to see your reasoning across a likely target group, rather than a kind of Morris Almond like fetishization on one particular guy.

Just my 2 cents, but man, I would love to see people do that, kind of like Dat, but more specifically targeted within the tier.

Tbh, I'm not really that impressed. Most of his points around the rim and off of rim runs. Not a lot of one-on-one creation. His size scares me. 6'8 235. He's right in that tweener range of being a forward size but playing like a big. I'd love him in the 10-14 range but given how talented this class is I don't see him as being our draft pick. Now it's only the first game but I want to see 3-point range, some on-ball creation, switching onto smaller guards and or rim protection. If I'm Koa I heavily consider staying in college for 4 years. He's the quintessential college player. H

For now anyway, it definitely seems like instead of seeing it as Boozer or whatever, we should just be looking at and evaluating:

Guards
Peterson
Mikel Brown

Wings
Dybantsa
Ament
Koa Peat

Bigs
Boozer
Chris Cenac
Quinatence-ACL issue

High Volatility International

Karim Lopez: I've seen as high as 5, and as low as the 20's over the past year.
Dash Daniels: He's been around 8th-25th, and it sounds like if he ever gets his jumper down, he could climb into top 10.

There's more and I'll never spell Quaintence the same 3 times in a row, there's at least 3 or 4 guys I've seen inside the top 10 not listed, but the guys for now that are locked and loaded top guys are who we all are familiar with, but Peat, Cenac, Quandance, Lopez etc I've all seen top 5 as well, so those guys should be our fixation more or less, and keep an eye open for guys that break inside the top 5 like Kon did last year, there's usually at least one surprise that fights their way either into tier 1, or at least the top bit of the draft.

He dominated the defending champs in his first game as a freshman. He had enough hops to throw down that contested alley oop. He isn't Shelden Williams. I saw several times where he had to create shots off the dribble. It wasn't like he had a clear lane every time. He did what he was known for.

I expect he goes somewhere from 6-10 but it's too early to make a firm call. Bully ball is a real thing in the NBA and he looks very comfortable with it already.

No Ceilings did a nice breakdown of the game.

I can see 6-10 I just don't know pass the top 3 or 4 that well. But how many succesful 6'8 235 guys are there in the league? If he has a great wingspan I can overlook it, but those guys tend to be offensive dynamos and defensive problems. To slow to guard on the perimeter and not tall enough to offer rim protection. I would shy away from him if I was the Wiz. But it's early so I reserve the right to change my mind lol.
