He definitely will not help them this season, no matter how good he is. He’s 27 years old though, signed long term, and plays the biggest position of need (well one of the biggest positions of need). This trade is about next year and beyond that.

It’s a first in 2027. They haven’t said if it’s Dallas’ pick or the Green Bay pick.

The Cowboys will have a very solid DT rotation with Williams/Clark/Osa/Solomon Thomas.

Word is they are still working on getting Bradley Chubb too.

Next year is an entirely different season. Going back 10 years they’ve had picks from the late 20’s to top 5. It literally could be anywhere in the draft.
