Ugh, the Pelicans are winless. We know what that means...

If we lose this game without Zion playing, then we need to go into tank mode.

Pels won... But they are still without Zion. Players don't tank. FO do it.

A L would be embarassing.

Our start of the season is so easy.

14th seed vs 15th seed, battle of ages. Pelicans are also back2back. Their GM traded last year their 23rd first and 26th unprotected first for last year's 13th pick. Another brilliant GM. I just wonder where owners find those guys?

The Pels played last night.

They have two rookies we need to be aware of is Derik Queen and Jeremiah Fears.

Pels win

Max Christie needs to replace DLo in field goal attempts. Give Christie the 11.3 DLo averages. Cooper will benefit from a more stable guard.

Pooper has brick hands.

Mavs should trade everyone and fire Nico.

This is just sad...
Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

We're now last place in the West. Time to tank. Give Flagg 20+ shots per game and high usage. Rest Kyrie and AD all season. Trade AD if possible. Try for a top 3 pick. And fire Nico.

Can't imagine how the team would have looked if they didn't luck into Cooper....now that would be a horror show

Oh btw, where's Cuban... haven't Heard anything from him since preseason....he was pretty vocal in the preseason but now is all quiet(no coments) ?? Guess he's waiting for the team to start winning to start talking again...now he's hiding, like that rat Nico

Heliocentric Luka ball was bad... But maybe be the worst team in the league is even worse, right?

The morale of the team and the vibes seem to be pretty low...I Know losing Will do that, and winning cures it,but even in the first game the team didn't Look confident....I was expecting them to come out like that first AD game(you Know, the really good 3 quarters) but even then they seemed reserved ,not really confident...there' might be some disconect between the Players/coaches and the front office

Can't wait for a Peterson/Flagg duo for the next 15 years.
The countdown has begun.

Peterson/Christie/Flagg/PJ/Lively would be one hell of building block for the future.
Anything we can get from an AD, Gaff and DLo trade would be gravy.

And there is no reason to try to tank...that will come naturally.

Agree.

But i'm not full on DLive, if he can't stay healthy we must unload him until he has value.

If you go full rebuild you should think about selling Lively high right now.

I was thinking we would see mediocre basketball till Kyrie gets back. Now it is the worst I have ever seen in my 20 years as a mavs fan. And on paper the roster is not that bad. This sucks so hard man

I'm ok with Lively as long as we don't overpay him and we acquire a solid backup.

I know people are disappointed about this team and the horrible start, but this is the best thing that can happen if people want Nico out of here and a future with Flagg. Honestly, I think Nico would consider trading Gaff for someone in the Kyrie/Klay/AD timeline and that would make building around Flagg nearly impossible. It would destroy both our present and our future.

At least we have a chance to salvage the future by:
A. Getting rid of Nico
B. Trading our best trade pieces for assets that fit Flagg/Lively/Christie timeline.
C. Sucking enough to get a high draft pick to add to that core.

ALL 3 of those things have to happen in order for us to have any chance at winning a championship within the next decade.
